Which shops do you buy teen DDs bras from?

We're way past the first bra stage and I'm looking for nice bras that are a C cup for DD who is 14. Bras from H&M and Pink I have found too cut away. We're trying to find something lightly padded, comfortable, without lace with good coverage which doesn't look like something my mum would wear.

If it could be that pale pink nude colour that doesn't show under white, that would be even better.

Matalan. They have a few different plain ones. They were the only ones I could find anywhere. They also have a plain non padded one.

Asda is my current favourite for her. They do a 28C which is a very common size for slim teenagers but very difficult to find

SarahTancredi · 16/09/2019 08:16

Debenhams have a fairly good range

Wacadu · 16/09/2019 08:16

My DD loves Primark bras. Lovely lacy ones in several colours.

SummersB · 16/09/2019 08:18

I have the chest of a teenage girl and I buy lol my bras from Holister. Really comfy and nice looking without being in any way OTT. My teens love them too.

dementedpixie · 16/09/2019 08:24

What is her back size? Cup size means nothing without it.

Branleuse · 16/09/2019 08:26

my dd had one from debenhams that was ok, but funnily enough we got some recently from asda for half the price, and she finds them super comfy. Much more so than the debenhams and m&s ones she tried.

Debenhams and Primark

coldishfeet · 16/09/2019 08:28

She's a 34 back size so not looking for anything out of the ordinary.

She had Primark ones before and found them uncomfortable. She just wants normal nice bras. She started off in M&S and Debenhams teen range but the straps on those are too thin and cut in.

Debenhams have so many bras. Are you recommending something outside the teen range? I get a bit overwhelmed when there's too much selection - even when looking for myself.

My daughter likes the teen bras from M&S. The sporty grey marl ones don't show under her white school shirts.

Housewife2010 · 16/09/2019 08:37

She's a 34C

BigFatBloomers · 16/09/2019 13:07

My DD has had some nice ones from Boux Avenue. They are also good at fitting if you're anywhere near one of their shops.

Also, are you sure she is a 34 back as that is quite large, especially at 14. Has she measured using the bra intervention method?

Branleuse · 16/09/2019 13:27

i was going to ask if she really does measure 34 round,

dementedpixie · 16/09/2019 14:45

My dd is 15 and I think it's a 30DD we got her last time. 34 sounds large for a 14 year old. I am a 36 back at size 20/22

TantricTwist · 16/09/2019 14:55

My DD has Victoria Secret crop top style bras from their sales she is 12 and a B cup. She also has a couple of lovely M&S bra and knicker sets.

coldishfeet · 16/09/2019 16:01

I will get her to measure herself again. She outgrew the 32s and is quite broad across the back. She wears a Size 10 in clothing. But she could be better off in a 32D so I'll get her to re-measure using the bra intervention.

dementedpixie · 16/09/2019 17:17

She might have had a cup that was too small in the 32 back which made the band feel tight

Doublechocmoc · 16/09/2019 17:34

You need to take her to get properly measured for a bra. Debenhams or Bravissimo are the places to go for this. It's free. She is most definitely not a 34C if she is a size 10 and only 14. More likely she is a smaller back size with a larger cup size. I'm a size 12 with a 30 back!

Idontneeditatall · 16/09/2019 17:44

and I’m a size 14 with a 32 inch bra. She’s def not a 34

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 16/09/2019 21:26

I’m surprised she can’t find anything in pink or victoria secret. Dd is 13 almost 14 and will only buy them from there. Although they have awful sizing.
She’s a 30ddd which is a 30e elsewhere I think. She can buy that size in vs but in pink has to sister size to a 32dd.
The ones she buys are full cup. , she has the everyday t shirt bras from pink and the lightly lined wireless. Another style from vs that I can’t remember the name of right now.

She used to buy from gilly hicks at hollister as well but they only seem to go up to a c in store. Which would fit your dd.
