I currently use Aldi's Lacura Rejuvenate (?) day cream, Liz Earle cleanse and polish (love this).

Thinking I need a serum but can't go too high end......any recommendations?

My skin is normal/combination.

Have a look at Facetheory. Code FB40 for 40% off first order.

I’m trying some of their products and so far so good.

I’m liking the Ordinary. There is a good Facebook page to explain it all.

I use Nip+Fab Glycolic pads followed by Dragon's Blood Plumping Serum in the morning, then I use a sunscreen (Natio for men). In the evening I use either a konjac sponge or Nip+Fab Dragon's Blood pads then an eye cream (either Neal's Yard Frankincense Intense or Rodial Dragon's Blood) and a moisturiser (again Frankincense Intense or Aldi Caviar Night cream). I have extremely dry skin so my moisturiser might be too heavy for your skin.

Of all the things that I use the one that I recommend the most is the plumping serum, it really does make the little criss-cross lines disappear and helps a bit with the deeper wrinkles. However, if you wear make up some foundations work well with the serum but some don't and tend to lift off the skin.

Retinol
SPF
Acids
Hyaluronic acid for hydration

I use the Boots No7 range of skincare, I use the cleansing balm, the Glycolic pads, & the Instant results Hydration mask which I use as a deep moisturiser at night, I use the Protect & Perfect range for daily skincare under my foundation.

Wow. Some people really do buy all the marketing bollocks.

Smotheroffive · 15/09/2019 22:53

Ha PickAChew. Was thinking exactly that when I spotted your post at the end! Grin absolute nuts!

@PickAChew
Wow. Some people really do buy all the marketing bollocks.

Serious question - what has been said on this thread that is bollocks?

Are you referring to all skincare products or a particular brand / item?

YesQueen · 15/09/2019 23:14

@PickAChew retinol and SOF are both proven for skincare so hardly bollocks

BaconAndAvocado · 16/09/2019 14:29

Thanks all. Have must ordered a couple of products from Facetheory (with the 40% discount - cheers!)

Going to Boots tomorrow with some vouchers.....will have a look at their serums too.
