The Holy Grail of a kink-free hair bobble

Have reasonably thick hair that I blow dry straight but can't sleep unless I put my hair in a pony tail and is completely out my face.

Always disappointing when you bother to blow dry your hair the evening before then wake up with the hair bobble kink which I can only get out with straightners.

Has anyone found a hair bobble that doesn't leave a kink?

The invisibobble coil ones that look like a telephone wire also leave a kink for me and I find them uncomfortable.

I think it is the pony tail that is causing the problem, whatever you use will cause a kink, especially if your hair is freshly blow dried.

Could you twist the pony tail into a bun and then put a bobble around the bun?

Forgot to say, maybe try a thick, chunky scruchie?

I like these from Claire's. I can wear them overnight and not need to straighten in the morning. They're comfier than the telephone wire ones too. They have loads of colours - just search for rolled hair bobble.
