Just deleted Instagram...where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

Just that really. Loved it for ideas on outfits but don’t want the other stuff that comes with it. So my question is for non-instagram users Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

People on the street!

MummytoCSJH · 09/09/2019 17:37

Obvious answer probably but Pinterest... no actual interaction with human beings Grin and there's so much already on there that I don't have to add anything of my own! Once you start 'pinning' it brings up similar suggestions to your homepage which I have a scroll through.

Ellapaella · 09/09/2019 17:43

People watching and Pinterest.

Lucked · 09/09/2019 17:51

I think I need to do the same. There is actually not that much on there. How many time do I need to see a floaty midi dress teamed with white trainers or chunky boots!

I have used Pinterest, especially for how to wear items that I already own but I am not sure where to see new trends etc I am not a slave to fashion but like to change things up so that I look current.

Whysoslow · 09/09/2019 18:42

Thank you for your replies. Hadn’t considered Pinterest but will definitely have a look :)

21 buttons is great. It's like Instagram but just for outfits, so everything the person is wearing is linked when you click.

Ellapaella · 09/09/2019 19:27

Is that an app @straighttalker33 or a website?

tempnamechange98765 · 09/09/2019 19:47

Following. I've also deleted Instagram after getting fed up of the "influencer" culture.

straighttalker33 · 09/09/2019 21:00

@Ellapaella it's an app

managedmis · 09/09/2019 21:01

Pinterest is OK but I find there's a lot of fluff to get through

StarsBright · 09/09/2019 21:22

I really like the Sheer Luxe website but it depends on your style preferences since it’s very much ‘influencer’ fashion.

I get the vast majority of mine from Instagram tbh so watching with interest.

r/FemaleFashionAdvice on reddit has never steered me wrong.

MoltoAgitato · 10/09/2019 09:21

Here! Loads of ideas and loads of things I would never have thought of. You also get contradictory views which helps.
