Where on earth can you buy women's shoes in half sizes??

My friend is a 37.5, and nowhere seems to cater for this?
38 is too big, 37 too tight. She is actually really struggling to find anything, particularly loafers for work.
Anyone know of any sites that have half sizes?
TIA.

Clark’s do half sizes

PreschoolYes · 08/09/2019 09:26

M&S?

thethoughtfox · 08/09/2019 10:04

Next. All their work shoes and heels ( they are all I have looked at) come in half sizes.

Mamia15 · 08/09/2019 10:20

I have a similar problem. M&S, Clarks and Next do half sizes. Also try brands that use European shoe sizes.

M&S

Gabor and others above. Hotter, some Jones own brands. John Lewis usually have a good selection.

Fit Flops do lovely loafers and half sizes

peachypetite · 08/09/2019 10:37

ASOS have hundreds in a 4.5.

Use an extra insole to reduce volume of the 38s. Also, sizing is inconsistent between manufacturers. Yiu neec to try a Fed makes and stiles to find what works for you.

Nike do half sizes.

swissmilk · 08/09/2019 10:58

Gabor at John Lewis.

Boden do half sizes and L.K. Bennett.

Asda George do half sizes

Don't different brands vary by that much anyway, and then it would depend if it was a UK size converted to EU or vice versa as it is not an exact conversion? I'd be more likely to try different ones and find something that suits. EU sizes are only at 2/3 cm intervals, so not much in it really.

Ninkaninus · 08/09/2019 11:26

M&S. Their loafers are great for the price. And their shoes usually come up big by at least half a size so she probably won’t need a half size (but they do half sizes as well).

BikeRunSki · 08/09/2019 12:40

I agree with @WindsweptEgret. The difference between European sizes is 6.67 mm, the difference between British sizes is 8.5mm, so it’s not an exact conversion, and sizing varies between manufacturers anyway. I have shoes that vary in label size from 7-9/40-43 - this is an example too of how 3 British sizes cover 4 European sizes.

The increments between European sizes are v small anyway, I’m not sure I have ever seen a European half size, unless it’s a conversion from a different sizing system.

Hobbs do half sizes

EleanorLavish · 08/09/2019 13:21

Thank you all. I got the numbers wrong, she is 3.5, not a 4.5. I think the choice isn't so wide then.
But will have a good google.

My mum is a 3.5 and buys nearly all of her shoes from M&S. They do some nice boots etc.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 08/09/2019 15:12

You can also get these, if you can only find a style in a larger size: shoesizers.com/

Readily available on eBay and amazon etc
