I need a new hair dryer. Would love a dyson but it s just out of budget. But I think I could stretch to the GHD one,
Is there any other one MN users would reccomend ?

I absolutely love my Parlux. It dries my long thick hair really quickly and makes it lovely and smooth. I never go away without it because ordinary dryers just seem so painfully slow in comparison.

I’ve had it about six years and it’s still fabulous.

Parlux. Ours is nearly a decade and still going strong. It’s also fixable - a switch went but you can get parts and we repaired it ourselves.

I have a parlux for home but a diva for work (am a hairdresser). The diva was cheaper (obvs i need to replace my work one more than my home one) and i prefer it - it’s quieter, more powerful, and a prettier colour Grin.

MadameButterface · 07/09/2019 17:04

Oh! Longer cord on the diva too

I’ve got the GHD one, I like it but I paid £66 on amazon prime day, think I’d maybe be a little disappointed if I’d paid full price (£99). It is good though and dries my hair fast.

Parlux

Battenburg1978 · 07/09/2019 18:07

I have 2 ETI hairdryers - my older one is still
Going strong after 12 years! I bought a second to use at work and that’s been great too. Around the £45-50 mark so decently priced though I’ve never tried GHD/Dyson to compare.

Ditto Parlux! I bought mine on the advice of this forum back in 2010. It has served me well ever since. I have long, thick hair and it works a treat.

CandleWithHair · 07/09/2019 21:51

I have a parlux too and zero complaints here! It’s quite heavy but it dries my hair quickly so it’s not really a problem!

SpornStar · 07/09/2019 21:52

My Parlux is at least 18 years old and still going strong.

scatteredglitter · 09/09/2019 07:08

Thank you ! That was pretty resounding.
Parlux it is then.

Parlux! Snap! Hairdresser quality.... tames my fuzzy tresses!

Snog · 11/09/2019 00:11

Parlux dries my hair in half the time

Redandblue11 · 11/09/2019 17:13

Marking my place as I need a new one as Ghd died on me and I won’t waste my money there again.

I got one from Sally's, which is like a Parlux but not a Parlux. It's very powerful and fast and really good. Cost about £60.
