Snag tights. Worth it?

I'm short and tights never fit me properly. They fall down or rub and just get uncomfortable. Are Snag tights as good as they say?

I'm so pleased to read all these great see comments as I impulsively ( after a large glass of wine) ordered 3 pairs( burgundy, black and green) the other evening and I can't wait for them to arrive! I am short of leg and large of ass but small of waist and tights always fall down/ move around/ sag/ wrinkle at ankles, basically everything they shouldn't do! Hopefully these will be different!

margotsdevil · 08/09/2019 14:07

Love them. I've unearthed all my dresses that had been lurking at the back of the wardrobe because I couldn't face the daily tights struggle, and leggings didn't quite cut it for work. Worth every penny!

MaltbyMaeve · 08/09/2019 16:44

I love them! Ordered two pairs to start with and loved them and returned to order enough for the week.

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 08/09/2019 16:48

I love mine. After years of shit tights I bought 6 pairs and were obsessed with them last winter. Just dug them out for this year.

SauvignonBlanche · 08/09/2019 16:52

I love them but they don’t have a reinforced toe and I seem to be getting holes after only one wear. Sad

TinyMystery · 08/09/2019 19:28

I have an opaque pair that are comfy and seem like good quality (probably worn them about 10 times) but the sheer ones are no better than any other sheer tights and were a bit crap if I’m honest.

Oldraver · 08/09/2019 19:43

Toetickle TMI coming. I can confirm that the diamond gusset stayed in place where it should as I was so pleased they fit well, I forgot a liner of anysort and my post menopausal lady drip landed in the diamond

chemenger · 27/09/2019 09:30

I have the 80 denier tights and have just bought more with a view to tossing out all my other tights. The joy of having tights that don’t roll down or slide down so that I can not spend half my day either hitching them up or feeling uncomfortable is immense! I also have the chub rub shorts, they stay put all day too, although I think the legs are too long on them.
I have also tried Heist, but found they just roll down and also ladder. Snag all the way. What amazes me is that places like M&S who must make a fortune from tights appear to make no effort to make tights that function.

margotsdevil · 01/10/2019 20:17

I've just chucked a whole pile of tights because there's no going back from snag!

wildhairdontcare · 01/10/2019 21:13

Great fit but terrible quality. Ladder extremely easily.

Northernlurker · 01/10/2019 21:14

I've got at least a dozen pairs. No ladders.

sohypnotic · 01/10/2019 21:16

100% yes, I've bought a pair for everyday of the week, binned all my others. No more pulling them up constantly, and still the same after a couple of months of wearing and washing.

gingersausage · 02/10/2019 07:13

I’m genuinely sceptical of Snag tights. It seems like a couple of years ago, no one was very interested in tights and the odd thread asking about the best ones would run the gamut from “ooohhhh Wolford are amazing and I wish I was a millionaire so I could buy 20 pairs” to “Primark are perfectly awesome for the money”, via M&S, Boots and Falke.

Now, both here and on various FB groups and other forums you cannot post the word “tights” without 100 shill-bots popping up squeaking Snag Snag Snag. Suddenly everyone is casting off their jeans and leggings to buy dresses for the sole purpose of wearing these miraculous tights. Threads about footwear inevitably turn to, you’ve guessed it...tights. Meh, I’m just a cynic. I’ll stick to Primark. They are cheap, soft and last forever.

Apolloanddaphne · 02/10/2019 07:22

I am not a Snag bot. I am pretty offended anyone would think this! I generally hate tights but these are really great. Sometimes a great product is out there that people just genuinely like!

margotsdevil · 02/10/2019 07:41

I've tried Boots, Marks, Debenhams, Primark, randoms off the internet - and I hated tights. I'd stopped wearing most of my dresses because I couldn't get tights to fit - I'm short and fat. I would wear leggings with some but not through choice really.

I'm definitely no bot Hmm but I can't believe I'm the only woman who didn't wear dresses because tights didn't fit properly! I was recommended them by a friend who had similar fit issues.

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 02/10/2019 08:11

I may try Snag tights. I bought a pair of nude tights from Heist at £££ and laddered them as I was putting them on. I never wore them.

That put me off expensive tights.

I do have a couple of pairs of Woolford ones that I’ve bought in their sale and they’re great. But they’re not as cheap as Snag.

gingersausage · 02/10/2019 10:06

@Apolloanddaphne if you aren’t one, then it makes no sense at all to be offended. I’m talking about the ones who are, not the ones who aren’t.

chemenger · 02/10/2019 17:04

I’m not a snag not either. Who are you saying is?

partysong · 02/10/2019 23:06

Thought I was over valuing the snag tights so went back to primark - spent all week pull them up. Primark ones in the bin, new snag ones in order

buckeejit · 03/10/2019 00:34

Any discount codes for them? I'd like some of the thick opaque ones so off for a look

GlitteredAcorns · 03/10/2019 06:22

I have tried the black opaques and the fishnets. The fishnets are crap, feel cheap and don't stay on. The opaques are quite nice, they feel smooth, not itchy, and actually they stay on without digging into my humps and bumps. I am short and a chubby size 10 (i.e. I really should be wearing a size 12) and found the size they recommended way too big.

Nottsangel2015 · 03/10/2019 18:12

I'm tempted to buy these as I'm tall and struggle finding some long enough for me that fit my waist and stay up well.
I'm a 14-16 I go to gym so my legs are quite toned but I've had two kids and a c section so have a small wobbly tummy. I'm 5'10 but cannot decide whether to get the size D or E? Anyone or similar proportions who can advise on best size?

YesQueen · 03/10/2019 18:17

@gingersausage I recommend them a lot. Because I'm 5ft 10 and even XL tights, the crotch is somewhere around my knees. The joys of being able to pull on a pair of tights where the waistband is around my bra, and they don't move... that's why I recommend them
I think people can be quite evangelical about them because if you've never been able to wear tights, it does limit your wardrobe!

TakeMeToYourLiar · 03/10/2019 18:33

Yep, I have chucked all my non snag tights now.

These just work. They stay up, don't ladder. Perfect

Glitterb · 03/10/2019 18:51

For the money i think they are great! I was buying Heist tights before, which are brilliant but sadly they ladder and rip constantly, plus they are £20+ a pair. I got sick of complaining to the customer services about them and gave up!
