My dd loves them, I'm too old for them, you might not be

chopster · 08/08/2007 13:14

NO! Not for anyone over the age of about 16.

serenity · 08/08/2007 13:15

Who's wearing them, him or you? I love mine, but I only wear them with jeans (far too old to wear them with short skirts, and my legs are too tubby to wear them with 3/4 length trousers) I loathe trainers, so they're a nice compromise for me.

PersonalClown · 08/08/2007 13:15

Yes, yes, yes! I love mine!
I think I can still get away with them. I'm 28.

Cammelia · 08/08/2007 13:16

I do still like converse low tops though

serenity · 08/08/2007 13:17

Who cares? Do you like them? Who gives a stuff whether they are cool or not.......come on, be a leader not a follower

GreatAuntieWurly · 08/08/2007 13:17

dont think i'm too old for them, i'm only 28,

ImBarryScott · 08/08/2007 13:18

Yes - low tops are better. Got a pair myself - but than I still have the youthful looks of a teenage .

I think they look great with jeans, or wide legged trousers. And serenity's right - they're a bit smarter than trainers.

Far too twee with skirts though!

superloopy · 08/08/2007 13:19

Yes they are fab! I have 2 pairs navy & white and my DD (3yo) has some pinks ones.

I don't think I am too old for them at 33.

chopster · 08/08/2007 13:19

do you lot all wear crocs too?

MyEye · 08/08/2007 13:19

Boots, no.
Sneakers, yes.
Very grownup, esp in cream colour with wideleg trousers.

MrsBadger · 08/08/2007 13:20

boots no
shoes yes
get a non-novelty colour though eg cream, grey, navy, denim

Cammelia · 08/08/2007 13:22

converse are always cool, as a brand.

Crocs ? Never will be cool, moreover no=one will be seen dead in them after this summer (she says hopefully)

serenity · 08/08/2007 13:22

eww, not a chance with Crocs, considering them for the Dcs as they are washable and look quite hardy, but not a fan for adults I'm afraid. I should say that my Converse are solid black high tops, I can't abide colour on my feet as they are so damn big (size 9 )

GreatAuntieWurly · 08/08/2007 13:22

i quite like the look of pink ones but also want black ones aswell.

OP posts:
flowerybeanbag · 08/08/2007 13:23

what Mrs B said.

And you're not too old.

oliveoil · 08/08/2007 13:25

boots no
shoes yes

boots make your feet look like Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons, all thin ankles and excessive foot

Cammelia · 08/08/2007 13:26

Ah you young people are not too old

flowerybeanbag · 08/08/2007 13:26
PersonalClown · 08/08/2007 13:27

I have the black, pink , navy all in high tops and white low tops.
Agree about high tops only with jeans/trousers.
Ds wants the blue high tops with sharks print!

chopster · 08/08/2007 14:08

see now I do wear crocs, so I have taste!

Cammelia · 08/08/2007 18:33

Chopster, crocs are a taste-free zone
