Wedding guest dress, help me jazz up the outfit please

I've bought this dress for a close cousin's summer wedding - will be in Australia and an evening do so hot balmy etc. I was originally against black but fallen in love with the dress and I know the bride won't mind.

How would you brighten up the outfit to make it more weddingy- would colourful shoes look weird? And any jewellery ideas?

Will appreciate all advice!

I think the dress is fab and would have nude or black shoes/ bag
Not sure it needs to much colour however you could always have bright orange nails

Pink or orange heels and clutch. It's very dark for a wedding.

Okay - either of these heels any good? I think the dark colour will be okay. It's a garden evening celebration at her family home - she wore a black dress as a guest to my wedding and I didn't mind a bit!

I personally don't like when people wear black and white and then a 'pop of colour', especially a red lip!!
I would do black strappy shoes and black bag

As it's an evening do, black is perfectly appropriate.

I think an orange or pink shoe will detract from the dress
The nude one is better or a black shoe
Lots more people wear black to weddings now

All it’s not pure black so it’s perfectly ok. I’m not a fan of the hemline and couldn’t imagine anyone wearing it to a smart wedding. It doesn’t need much so black accesssories and pants in case of flashing.

It’s gorgeous. Would go for nude shoes & bag, or a black bag.

Nude or black with this dress. And please, no fascinator.

Agree with a PP - nothing worse than a 'pop of colour', highway to frumpville! Nude or black will look great and streamlined with this dress.
