Best hair straighteners?

Hi, I have had my GHD's for over 10 years and they are still working fine but after all that time they're not as effective as they used to be! I'm looking for recommendations for some straighteners to replace them please! I've heard cloud nines are good, but ideally would love something cheaper.

I should add that I have frizzy wavy hair so need something that works really well at getting hair super straight and smooth!

Kipozi wide plates on amazon, under £30 and wonderful.

I use them on 215c and my hair stays straight overnight.

Thanks @Fluffycloudland77 I have actually been looking at those on amazon and wondering if they were as good as the reviews say! Might have to give them a go

I second the kipozi ones! Had them over a year now and love them Grin

I’m dubious about amazon reviews too, bought a robo hoover that clearly had fake reviews because it was rubbish.

I found out about them on here.

Could you up grade to newer GHDs? I know they come in at about £100 for the cheapest ones but if you’ve had your old pair for ten years I’d say that’s value for money!

glasshalfsomething · 24/08/2019 18:11

Definitely Cloud Nines. Even better that ghds

Isleepinahedgefund · 24/08/2019 19:30

Cloud Nine. I was a GHD devotee before I had them. I have the Touch ones and I love them. I have coarse frizzy hair and they work amazingly.

ParkheadParadise · 24/08/2019 19:32

Cloud 9s
Diva is also good.

WinterHare · 24/08/2019 20:02

Diva are brilliant

I replaced my 10+ year old GHDs recently with another pair of GHDs and I wish I’d gone for Cloud Nines tbh. I have thick hair and the new ones just don’t get through it as effectively and seem to need more strokes to keep it straight and smooth. Very frustrating!

Henlie · 24/08/2019 22:00

I have very thick hair...and use Cloud Nines. The best on the market IMO, and definitely worth the money 😊.

Thanks for all the replies! Really helpful. I think I will buy the Kipozi ones from Amazon in the short term and save up for some Cloud 9s.
