It's a nice dress, I'd probably prefer all blue but I think either would probably look good

MoltonSilver · 21/08/2019 22:55

I think I'd go for silver.

areukiddingme · 21/08/2019 22:58

No

Fingermoose · 21/08/2019 23:07

Lovely dress! I'd go for bright accessories rather than silver. Hot pink and yellow would both go with royal blue.

Confusedddd · 21/08/2019 23:09

Love it and the shoes etc sound good !

feelingverylazytoday · 21/08/2019 23:11

I'd wear black shoes and bag.

ViciousTrollop · 21/08/2019 23:11

Yellow shoes and hot pink fascinator 😲 Egads no. Sounds like a 1980"s dumpster fire.

Absolute no to all blue as well, far too matchy matchy and naff.

Metallic/Pewter shoes + really good blow dry (jewelled clip/slide or equivalent if adamant about hair accessory). Interesting/statement clutch bag.

thedevilinablackdress · 22/08/2019 07:06

See, I would go for the yellow shoes and pink fascinator. Much more exciting.

Gentlemanwiththistledownhair · 22/08/2019 07:13

Yellow shoes and pink fascinator here too. Although, personally I would just go with yellow shoes because I don't like fascinators.

Metallic shoes are fast becoming the new "nude court". Will go well enough with everything, but just a bit boring.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/08/2019 07:23

Sorry but yellow, pink and blue sounds awful. I like the sound of pewter shoes. Beaded bag might be nice.

Alwayscheerful · 22/08/2019 10:15

Silver Sandles would be fab but pewter even better.

Propertyofhood · 22/08/2019 10:20

Lovely dress!

I would go yellow shoes and no fascinator. Maybe metallic I guess. Definitely not all blue accessories.

Fabellini · 22/08/2019 10:21

I’d go for metallic sandals, silver, pewter, or gold - I think they’d all look good, and then a bright contrasting bag. Yellow, pink, emerald green.
Not a fan of fascinators at all, headbands are where it’s at just now!

TigerJoy · 22/08/2019 10:38

How about

Or

Metallic is just too neutral for this event. It's quite informal (not big church wedding) so I want to wear something a bit more interesting than matching accessories.

I don't think the fascination does the dress justice, Sorry i think it's frumpy, is that even still a word? I don't know what to say about the peacock head piece, but I am bumping for you with attached photos.
I would wear the dress with a messy up do, what is your hair like op? It's a very pretty dress.

What would you wear with this for wedding?

Fascinator!

Propertyofhood · 22/08/2019 19:26

Yeah not the blue fascinator, I really dislike fascinators in general, I much prefer Alice band/hair crown type hair accessories.

I do like the peacock feather one though.

TigerJoy · 22/08/2019 21:12

Thanks for the advice and posting the pictures, messy updos don't really suit me, I'm best with my hair down (thin, way brown hair past my shoulders - getting thinner at the crown and lies very flat hence the desire for a hat of some kind). Round face so headbands make me look like the moon.

I have plumped for this. Sorry I'd paste the photo in if I knew how!

The dress arrived today and looks really, really pretty on

Very pretty dress and think yellow shoes (that you've already got) would be excellent but with a yellow fascinator as well I think will be too matchy matchy. I think if you want the yellow fascinator you need to wear a more neutral coloured shoe, either metallic or blue. Or, since you've already got the yellow shoes wear a more neutral coloured fascinator (probably with a range of blues in it like the peacock headband).

Personally I think a range of blue accessories would look good but only if they are deliberately different enough blues, don't try and match everything.

TigerJoy · 23/08/2019 07:33

Thanks, I have a range of metallic shoes I can try.

Interesting everyone is anti all-blue. I just wondered whether it was a thing now as so many celebs where all in one colour at the royal wedding. Clearly not

Eustasiavye · 23/08/2019 08:45

Lovely dress op.
I wore a similar one to a friend's wedding. I wore red heels and red clutch with discrete earrings and bracelet.

FenellaMaxwell · 23/08/2019 08:47

Honestly it looks like a child’s party dress a bit. Sorry!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/08/2019 10:08

Sorry but I really don't like that fascinator.

brassbrass · 23/08/2019 10:12

What are the yellow shoes like? The peacock fascinator and yellow shoes could work

brassbrass · 23/08/2019 10:13

I like outfits that pop but you can easily overdo it.
