Wedding shoes - desperate plea!

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 12:30

Hello!

I have fallen in love with a pair of shoes for my wedding. And I can’t find them anywhere, they are out of stock.

I’ve tried to find something similar but I’ve not found anything that’s wow-ed me the same.

Any ideas for similar styles from you fabulous lot?

Thank you!!

gold?

WanderingAimlessly · 16/08/2019 21:14

Not quite as fancy, but of the same ilk? (And you can pay extra to customise)

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 21:24

So many linking the dulcie shoes - I’ve been looking them too! I think they are nice, but there’s something about them I just can’t put my finger on. I’m not sure what it is??

Will look into customisation though!

These jazzed up with some crystals / shoe clip?

BigFatBloomers · 16/08/2019 21:24

glitter

lace

gold jewelled

Treem · 16/08/2019 21:29

hmm, the dulcie ones just look like normal ballet pumps with some fancy gems stuck on. The shape and heel and embellishment of your original shoe are classy and elegant. Don't compromise! How long do you have til the wedding?

BigFatBloomers · 16/08/2019 21:32

cheap!
slingback
peeptoe

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 21:34

I think that’s it, treem!

Almost everything I find is either a kitten heel, which I just don’t love, a heel which is too high, or something that I would wear with a dress to work. I’m struggling to find anything like them, I just love them. And I appreciate how awkward and fussy I am being!!

I have 14 weeks. Have been to dune who have said they are not going to be restocked, and John Lewis still have them as active, but due a review. Whatever that means!!

The sling backs are pretty!

Hi OP! Hope you're well. I wore the Dune Bridal Breaann Jewel Stiletto Court for my wedding last year. I wore them for the best part of 1 hour as had three dress/shoe changes (Moroccan wedding). I'm also a size 7 so if you like them you're free to have them. Nearly home so will post pics if you're interested.

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 21:47

That is so incredibly kind of you, what beautiful shoes. Unfortunately I would most definitely fall over, I am not graceful in the slightest and even worse in a heel. But I am blown away by your kindness, thank you!!

You could ask if there are any mumsnetters who are going past a john lewis or dune tomorrow and wouldn't mind looking for you. I did this once (with a tshirt that sainsburys had told me had sold out) and a lovely mnetter bought it for me and sent it (I paid her back of course). Even just letting you know they are in stock would mean you could phone the store in question.

If you do this, post in AIBU or chat for the traffic!

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 21:57

That’s a good idea - I’ll give it a go, thank you!

BigFatBloomers · 16/08/2019 22:28

I may go past a Dune and a JL tomorrow. Happy to pop in if I do.

NauseousNancy · 16/08/2019 22:30

Thank you so much! Even if I get a store they are in I could call and beg them to post them or send to another store!

They are in stock here although I've never heard of the site.

Miseryisabutterfly · 16/08/2019 23:40

Etsy has some cute options not a million miles away from the dune ones. I just searched wedding flats. Have you thought about customizing some yourself? You could sew brooches on...

Snowflake9 · 16/08/2019 23:41

Delivery is 10-14 days. Which makes me think these are from the states ? Reas the shipping and returns info. If in doubt, buy on a credit card or PayPal. !

Great find though.

Miseryisabutterfly · 16/08/2019 23:41

Sorry, really should have read the thread before posting!

Miseryisabutterfly · 16/08/2019 23:44

These are Etsy.

@NauseousNancy
Have you tried Dune branches in Ireland. They have a shop in Dublin, on Grafton Street and in Dundrum shopping centre.
Google them, get their phone numbers and phone them.

StCharlotte · 17/08/2019 10:24

I got mine from a dance shop - much cheaper and exactly what I wanted (and I have wide feet). They were plain but a clip would have worked.
