Which fake tan for a pale skinned, fake tan virgin?

I know the formulations have come on leaps and bounds and now many are claiming there’s no smell, it doesn’t come off on bed sheets etc.

Is this true? I don’t want to try and go deep brown, just some colour so I can wear a mid length skirt without feeling I look awful.

Thank you 👌

I'm quite pale and I've been using bondi sands recently. I like it 👍

If you've never used it before I'd recommend one of the gradual tan building moisturisers. Best one I found is a Skinny Tan one that's from Superdrug but the Dove Dermaglow is really good as well. Remember to thoroughly wash your hands after applying! Thry are gentle tans but they'll definitely stain your hands! I usually rub a bit of extra (normal) moisturizer into ankles & elbows too.

I have just used Garnier Summer Body, the 'light sun-kissed look' colour. It's not expensive and I was pleasantly surprised by it. You put it on like a moisturiser and it develops in a couple of days after repeated use. It has an apricot fragrance and is worth a try.

The St Tropez in shower gradual tan is really subtle but just takes the edge off the paleness. I think it’s great but it is subtle so depends how tanned you want to be.

I’ve been watching Love Island and I’ve been so surprised that fake tan and a mitt has become an everyday thing, like they’re putting it on their faces without any cates in the world. I’m terrified I’d end up looking like I’ve been tangoed. The confidence! I have definitely missed this fake tan thing, it just wasn’t part of my youth.

Your legs won't look orange with the Garnier one I recommended Grin

I'm extremely pale - Isle of Paradise light mousse is excellent. Just whack it on for four hours, you'll be fine.

After a recommendation on here, I bought the Creightons Bronze Ambition Fake Don't Bake off Amazon and LOVE it! I am extremely pale, and this colour looks very natural on me and does not streak at all. Only thing is it's a bit difficult to remove, but honestly the best tan I've tried.

Palmers Cocoa Butter one has been a revelation. I’m also extremely pale.

Another vote for Bondi Sands. I use a combination of the light mousse and the everyday mousse. Develops a nice natural colour and no orange streaks (unless Palmers which really didn't work for me).

Do I have to do lots of exfoliation?

If I am using the tanning mousse I give my legs a good scrub with a Korean Italy towel (can get on Amazon) but if I am using the gradual one I don't, I just put it on before I go to bed. It dries pretty quick. I do put body lotion on my knees and ankles.
