Short hair style required - please help

OK, have been "long" for too long. Have appointment booked for Saturday - will ask stylist for help but she likes to have something to go on.

I'm lookign for "short" - not really decided how short, i have fine hair - has to be easy to manage (i'm not good at styling, blow-drying etc - too lazy) and must be able to "grow out" ok, as re previous point i only go to hairdressers twice /yr.

Will also he having colours put in.

Suggestions?

What about a longer bob. I had just past shoulder length hair cut last week and had a Louise Redknapp style bob. My hair looks much thicker especially with a few highlights. Last year I had lots of choppy layers and it took ages to grow out.
