bag for the beach/holidays

I have a summerish handbag but it was quite expensive and it is purple suede and I know that in Florida there can be unexpected rain showers which will wreck my bag.

Any suggestions for a nice handbag which is roomy, secure and stylish ands will survive the beach.

big ol' canvas number
or a basktety one with sequins

but is a basket thing secure.

I have a Louis Vuitton bag that is lovely but open at the top so rarely use it as it does not feel secure/

put precious things in bottom and wet towel etc on top

no-one rumages that hard

yes I looked in TK Maxx today as I have bought bags from there before but they did not hvae anything in that caught my eye.

Have just looked at accessorise website but there is no sale stuff on may pop into the store in town.

if they're that eager they'll take the whole bag and no amoutn of zips will help...

best get a cheap bag then, will go to Monsoon tomorrow
