Never sure if they work on me or not. So, should I today?

T-shirt is from Tesco’s!

With more of a tuck. God I can’t believe I’ve become so invested in how I tuck in my bloody t-shirt.

This is better.

—equally tuck invested—

PuppyMonkey · 31/07/2019 13:56

Oh dear, I can't believe how invested I am in this either (it keeps popping up at the top of 'threads I'm on.') - IT STILL LOOKS RIDICULOUS. Grin

You'll look back at photos of you doing this with perfectly nice tops in years to come and LOL your head off. Just leave it tucked out or I'm going to have to come down there and straighten it up myself. Gibber. Confused Confused

CountFosco · 31/07/2019 14:05

However the later example you posted looks like a ran-out-of-the-toilet-too-quick jobbie

This means something very different if you are Scottish.

My DD17 can get away with this look - size 4, 5'9", she looks elegant and sophisticated, it adds to her willowy, glowy, youthful perfection...

(I did not know it was a "thing", but she does it all the time - which means some you-tuber must do it)

Me - I am pretty much a Miriam Margolyes looky-likey and look like I rushed going to the loo when I do it. Sad

WingBingo · 31/07/2019 14:53

I’m 5’10” and slightly willowy, does that count?

@PuppyMonkey I will convert you

and also tag you so you get another notification

WingBingo - oh yes, anything approaching willowy counts

SolitudeAtAltitude · 31/07/2019 21:45

It used to be a thing in the early 90s Grin

Never got to grips with it then, too old to try again now Grin

It irritates me mildly that it is treated as Tan French' invention... as this "new thing" , if we're not careful, baggy trousers and boxy tops will be back in fashion next. Oh wait.

DrFoxtrot · 31/07/2019 22:27

I like the tuck Smile

QuimReaper · 31/07/2019 22:32

I've NEVER mastered the tuck, it always looks fab on other people and on mannequins in shop windows, but never on me. I think my t shirts must all be wrong. I can never get the rest of the t shirt to behave, it sort of bunches at the hips.

DramaAlpaca · 31/07/2019 22:37

It just looks untidy to me Confused

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 01/08/2019 00:06

I love a tuck but I’m 2 stone overweight and it just highlights the fact I’m hiding my saggy belly in high waisted jeans. Looks great on you!

bebeboeuf · 01/08/2019 06:56

@DefinatelyAWeeGobshite same here, I can’t see how it works unless you have perfectly flat stomach
