Dress me for a wedding, please!!

Can I have some ideas for an outfit for my ds's wedding, please? What sort of thing should the mother-of-the-groom wear??

The wedding is in Paris, in November at 3pm and afaik, will be quite traditional. The bridesmaids will wear light blue dresses.

I'm 50+yo, 5ft 6in, size 12/14. My hair is reddish brown and eyes dark brown, skin vaguely suntanned. 'Autumn' colours suit me best, blue is a no-no for me. I can't wear stiletto heels but don't mind a bit of height. Also, a titfer is required. And a bag. TIA

Me, cool??? I don't think so, lol!! (Have checked girls. Nothing going on but they look guilty, hehe!)

Ds was 28 last week, Cod. No idea how old god is - older than Abraham, I guess!!

Me again, and I still have nothing to wear....in fact, requirements have changed. Apparently, the mothers of the bride and groom need two outfits!! (Thanks, ds2 and future dil for not telling me until today.) I'm supposed to have a suit for the registry office plus a dress for the evening. Sigh.

In some ways, that makes it simpler as it should be relatively easy to find a suit and then a posh frock rather than something all purpose. I looked as much as I could in Kent last week, inc Bluewater, but no one seems to have their complete collections in yet. Everyone else is off to the pics tomorrow so I shall browse the shops in peace for three hours, yippee.

If you can spend a bit of money on your outfit, have a look here...

Ooh, gorgeous clothes but thankfully, I'm not pg, lol!

In fact, I have at last found outfits for my ds's nuptials, hurrah. I have a Phase Eight suit in muted pink. It's quite fancy, in a linen/silk pleated fabric, with loop button detail. The dress is Jacques Vert, in chiffon-y purple. It's really quite flattering when it's on, I was rather pleased when I found it. Now to get the accessories.
