My eye makeup seems to end up all over my face now... Any suggestions?

After years of swearing by L'Oréal gel eyeliner and L'Oréal Double extension tubing mascara, they seem to be letting me down all of a sudden. The mascara in particular is flaking off and smudging all day.

Any suggestions for something new to try? I'm going into the city today so have access to large shops for a change! If it's absolutely brilliant - any budget. The rest of my makeup is by Estée Lauder.

Is it something that has started happening because of the heat?

I use any cheap mascara, just a little and pop on strip lashes every day. Takes me about 30 seconds per eye, because I put them on everyday I am fast at it. I wear the very natural ones, so they just look like I have a good natural looking mascara on. If I put too much mascara on it often smudges and flakes. In all my years I have found one thay doesnt, if I put enough on to look like i have lashes.

I also use Rimmel insta fix and go spray you can use it before and after your make up. I spray my face, do my make up and the spray just after my mascara. And my makeup stays where it should.

The other day I forgot my second spray and my makeup slide off.

You can also use it during the day to refresh your make up. I dont usually do that but have been doing in the heat, just because it's a really lovely cooling spray

I'm not sure if it's the heat - it's warm here but not terrible and I'm indoors most of the time at the moment...

I'll check out instafix thanks! I've never tried that. I'm prone to acne but hopefully it won't cause a flare up.

I dont know about floating up acne, as I dont have it.

But it's very very light. Cant feel it on the skin. It feels more like one of the those sprays for cooling you down. Its costs about £6.

Are there certain ingredients that set your acne off? I can have a look at mine and see if it has them

Aw thank you! No I have never quite worked out what sets it off... I found Laura Mercier foundation made me break out terribly but couldn't work out why. Estée Lauder seems ok. I'll take a look at the shops today and for £6 I'll give it a whirl!

My mascara has been ok - L'Oréal waterproof million lashes- but my foundation has melted off this week. I wish I had the confidence for a bare face but I'm so rosy cheeked that without foundation I look like a tomato

I tried the Estée Lauder tubing mascara and it is awful for flaking and smudging. The No7 Stay Perfect one is miles better and stays where it should!
