Are any salon Gel/long lasting nails cruelty free?

I'm going back to work from maternity and really fancy having nice nails for a few weeks. But I don't want shellac or any brands that contain insect shells for ethical reasons. I've been googling but can only find home polishes (which I'm terrible at applying!)

Spent a bit of time researching this a while back as (as you probably know) CND/Gellish aren’t cruelty free.

At the time, Biosculpture Gel was the only one I can find. The gel is an overlay, which does come in a range of colours. They do a gel polish line too, called Evo2. Both are salon only, with quite a wide network. I’ve had both, must say I prefer the Biosculpture Gel to Evo2 for longevity reasons. The company have a salon finder on their site.

Recently, a company called the Gel Bottle have emerged. They are expanding quite quickly due to the demand for a vegan, cruelty free gel nail product. They don’t have a salon finder on their site unfortunately. I was meaning to go to my nearest city for a manicure at a salon I found by googling “the gel bottle, city name” but then I found a salon near me that uses their system just by walking past one day and seeing a poster in their window. I haven’t tried it yet- I have a mani-pedi booked for 1 August though. Maybe a quick google as above will turn up a place in your area.

The Gel Bottle is lasting far better than shellac on me!

The salon I go to uses Gel Bottle, I didn't realize it was cruelty free/vegan.

I find it is as good if not better than Gelish, it can last up to 3 weeks on me if I look after it, though I get a bit of growth. The gel builder is good too, but a bit burney when it's first applied.

Shellac doesn’t have insect shells in it, your confusing it with the old shellac varnish for paintwork that did.

I have calgel- far better than gelish and it appears to be cruelty free
