White trainers to wear with skinny jeans

So my usual look is skinny jeans, a floral or striped tshirt and white trainers. I've been through converse and super has the last couple of years and I liked the look of both but they get so grubby as they are canvas, and they are not that comfortable.

Anyone have any recommendations? I like the white Nike air force ones. Would I look like I'm trying to be a trendy teenager? Already have Topshop jeans as they are the only shop that do stretchy denim the right length for me. I'm late 30s, short and fairly slim.

Air force ones are super comfy and I find them easy to clean. I use Jason Markks on them

Or if you wanted to keep wearing Converse or Superga, use Crep Protect on them

I like the Air Force 1's but they make my skinny ankles look even worse as they're quite chunky. I'm now on my 2nd pair of white leather Puma baskets, which seem to suit me better and go with everything, skirts and trousers.

I wear white Superga but I buy the leather ones rather than the canvas. Office usually sell them. They are more expensive (about 70 quid) but super comfy and you can keep them white really easily.

I wear leather supergras. So much easier to clean and white. I won't get canvas again.

White Disruptor Fila trainers have been in for a while and those adidas continental trainers.

SteadyAreYouReady · 20/07/2019 19:38

I was going to suggest disruptors too

Littleblurry · 20/07/2019 22:50

Ooh I like the puma baskets and the Adidas continental. The disruptors would stand out a bit too much. I just want something comfy and non-offensive that goes with everything.

Good point about the air force ones looking chunky. I'll see what they look like on and take an honest friend shopping with me.

I just bought some all white leather Adidas gazelles with a gum sole. They’re really nice and slim fitting (had to go half a size up).

hicketypickety · 21/07/2019 08:14

Nike Roches - the most comfy trainers I've ever owned!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 21/07/2019 08:17

I love the look of Adidas Gazelles but they really dont suit my feet and I find them uncomfortable.

I've got a pair of cream suede Suoerga which work well.

I've just ordered a pair of white leather trainers from Mint Velvet so I'm hoping they are ok.

I wear either Veja or Stan Smiths. Tbh I tend to lean towards the Stan Smiths as they are way more comfy.

carrie74 · 21/07/2019 11:08

Stan Smiths or Superstars for me, but when I used to wear Converse, I regularly would throw them in the washing machine - did the trick.

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 21/07/2019 11:20

Stan Smiths are SO comfortable and I think look pretty good with jeans or some casual skirts/dresses.

If you’re a uk size 5 have a look at JD Sports, their junior sizes are the same as women’s sizes. I got mine for £40.

I have Adidas Superstars white with gold flashes.
