Please help me find a cross body bag to take away on holiday to keep my passport and purse in. Anything affordable would be a bonus Grin. Thanks x

If you put them in a Lidl carrier bag you will be quite safe..they will think you have a loaf of bread. 😀

checkmaid · 21/07/2019 22:11

I have this from miatui and love it

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 22/07/2019 10:09

Have a look at Oliver Bonas.

LightOfAThousandStars · 22/07/2019 16:50

Thanks everyone so much for the ideas! How are the Mia Tui bags in terms of quality? I did see them recommended on here a lot but wasn't sure. Budget is £50 to £60. I am tempted by by the Radley TK Maxx one linked above, looks really nice.

Love Lolo definitely. I got the recommendation from here, leather and fab quality

LuxuryWoman2018 · 22/07/2019 17:18

@MabelMoo23 the same bag is £8 cheaper from My Exquisite with the code someone linked. It is a lovely bag but too many colours to choose from!

PancakeAndKeith · 22/07/2019 17:50

I have a lot of Mia Tui bags and they have all lasted really well.
I have one I use for work, carrying loads of heave stuff every day and it’s been great.

Cymbalon · 23/07/2019 18:34

Do any of you own a Mia Tui mini Jen or a Samantha? If so are they very lightweight like Kiplings are? They look just what I’m after but I need something lightweight for my bad shoulder .

PancakeAndKeith · 23/07/2019 21:22

I have a Samantha. It’s quite solid, a good size too. I use it cross body and just on my shoulder with the handles.

Cymbalon · 23/07/2019 22:08

Thanks Pancake . When it’s empty is it light ?

Grumpyoldblonde · 24/07/2019 12:59

I’d like to know that too, I like light but not flimsy

ArrangementOfmolecules · 24/07/2019 15:29

Grumpy same here. I don’t want to feel it’s going to break under the weight of its contents but still want it to be lightweight. The Kipling I have meets those requirements but isn’t very stylish.

PancakeAndKeith · 24/07/2019 16:46

Yes it’s light. It’s not thin like a Kipling. It’s made like a leather bag with lining.

PancakeAndKeith · 24/07/2019 16:49

I have just checked what I have.
I’ve got a Samantha and an Eleanor. The Samantha is the bigger of the two. I use both as day bags but I use the Samantha when I have to take more stuff with me.

PancakeAndKeith · 24/07/2019 16:51

Oh and the other nice thing for travel with the Samantha is that it has a zipped internal pocket just the right size for passports.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 25/07/2019 07:54

pancake thanks that could be perfect for dd and her holiday.

Notmydalek · 25/07/2019 18:47

Thanks Pancake that’s good to know.

HermioneWeasley · 25/07/2019 19:33

Possibly bigger than you’re after (though I think they do a smaller one), but I recommend this one for city breaks for its anti theft features

Magnificentbeast · 25/07/2019 20:00

I second Nicky James. They are small but handy for access to smaller things such as passport, Oyster card, keys, phone etc. They have a couple of front zip pockets.

There's also a slightly bigger crossbody version.

LightOfAThousandStars · 25/07/2019 22:00

@HermioneWeasley which one, there is no link?

Goawayquickly · 26/07/2019 13:50

Hermione does it have an undetectable extension charm that magically increases internal capacity? (Sorry, Harry Potter reference)

Notmydalek · 26/07/2019 15:48

Goaway it appears to have an invisibility cloak so it could well have a capacity increasing charm in addition .
