Im a size 18.

Going on a night out next week and need something sexy, not a skirt or dress and I want my arms covered.

Haven't bought new clothes in so long I don't know where to shop anymore and just want to look attractive for a change.

Any ideas please i will beg if I have to

So playsuit? Will you get your legs out? Could do high waisted shorts and a long sleeved top?

Lucked · 18/07/2019 19:06

Where are you going? What is the vibe?

How old are you?

Lucked · 18/07/2019 19:07

And budget?

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:08

I would rather not get my tree trunks out really Grin

I've always wondered how people manage to pee in a playsuit actually Grin

I intend to get very drunk so need something practical too.

Budget? Do you need shoes/bag too?

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:08

I'm 40 and would ideally like to spend less than 100, going pubbing and clubbing so nothing too posh.

I have hundreds a few pairs of shoes and never carry a bag anyway so I'm good with that.

Jeans , heels ( maybe mules?) and a nice floaty long sleeved top is a nice evening look on anyone I think.

Jellybean100 · 18/07/2019 19:10

A wrap or kaftan style top with black jeans and a pair of heels then?

MrsGrindah · 18/07/2019 19:10

Hair long enough to go up? With statement earrings

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:11

Where sells nice plus size clothes? I genuinely haven't bought myself clothes for maybe 8 or 9 years apart from the odd pair of PJs from Tesco Grin

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:12

My hair is very long so will need to go up anyway or I'll sit on it and get stuck again

Mand S are fab for plus size jeans although you do need to try on a few different styles. Just bought a pair for less than twenty quid . Loads of stretch in them.

MrsGrindah · 18/07/2019 19:15

Ooh very long hair OP is sexy in itself so you are starting from a good point already!

LJS8987 · 18/07/2019 19:16

Most high street shops go upto a size 18 so you don't necessarily need a "plus size" range.
Newlook are good for a high wasted black jean, Dorothy Perkins, simply be, quiz, Evans sometimes do bits you can wear below the age of 90, river island

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:17

I never go in M&S I always assume it's really expensive and old fashioned. I haven't been in for about 20 years though. I'll pop in tomorrow and have a look.

My hair is lovely, it's my face that lets me down Grin

Have you looked on ASOS at the curve section? Some of it is hideous but it has a wide range of styles so should give you some idea of what you would or wouldn't consider wearing

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:18

Great thank you for the suggestions I'm having a look just now.

growlingbear · 18/07/2019 19:19

What size, height and shape are you? What are your best features? What's your colouring?

MrsGrindah · 18/07/2019 19:19

Yes I know what you mean re M and S but for jeans they are really good. Mine today were £19.50 ( full price) .Just make sure you try plenty on as they have lots of different styles

Cherry321 · 18/07/2019 19:21

How about jeans, heels, a camisole top and a kimono?

Oasis have some nice ones reduced.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/07/2019 19:25

I'm 5ft 5, pear shape, and my boobs are probably my best feature, dark hair and dark eyes so tend to wear black and red and purple a lot.

I love that jumpsuit. It's really different to what I usually wear.

I am a similar size OP and went out a few months ago. I wore a pair of dark blue lift and fit jeans from Next which were £48 and a top from John Rocha I think. Top had long mesh sleeves, sort of a bustier shape and a bit of bling on it.

I felt fab in it, it covered my arms and gave me a bit of shape, had some flat, fancy shoes as I hate heels but felt really comfortable all night.
