Anyone had Botox for crows feet?

Dh has asked what I want for my birthday this week and I'm thinking Botox!
Always been a grow old gracefully supporter but lately I'm starting to feel Self conscious about my eyes. When I smile I have awful crows feet Sad
Hate needles though!

Do is really work? Should I go for it? Does it hurt? Are you glad you had it?

I get botox on forehead and the 11 lines,brilliant results.

Delatron, yes, no problem with the forehead - looks great. My doctors said that the atrophy only affects certain people, I have very high cheekbones and thin skin and Ive noticed that i have a similar reaction with steroid injections and gel on other parts of my body - they almost dissolve the fat layer. I’m just unlucky.

Good to know youre ok OP. Let us know how you get on. I always find week three to be ‘max-Botox effect.’

@Unburnished I can't wait to see the results 😁
I'm already thinking about going for the Derma roller next 😬

Unburnished, which muscles are you referring to as taking over - the ones directly under the eye or do you mean lower down the face?
are your eyes hollowed out now? is that what you mean by atrophy?

Delatron · 20/07/2019 18:42

Ah ok Unburnished I have high cheekbones too! Was it evident from the first botox treatment that there were issues or was it a year or so down the line? Still can’t decide whether to stick with forehead. had eyes done twice now though with no issue.

Hope you get a great result OP!

Yes, the muscles lower down the face took over - the same level as the base of my nose and below, so my mouth would look odd when i spoke and smiled. Several people said “what the hell have you done to your face?”. Mortifying. The doctors said they’d never seen it before but there are plenty of on-line accounts of this happening.

Yes, I have hollowed/sunken eyes now, so my periorbital rim is clearly visible. The skin under my eyes is very dark too.

The other muscles taking over was evident pretty much straight away but the atrophy took a couple of months, maybe more to become evident.
