Do you ever change the laces on your trainers for something a bit fancy?

I'm obsessed with trainers at the mo - friend just came round in a gorgeous pair of very plan black leather trainers (fashion rather than sporty IYKWIM). She'd taken the black laces out and put silver leopard (my other obsession) print laces in them - they looked fantastic. She had on black a black midi, white tee and a very thin silver leopard belt and looked amazing, but it was the shoes, the shoes! They just looked so good and I would never even think to do this.

DD(7) has pink ribbon in her silver Converse shoes,. I used to do this kind of thing all the time when I was younger - 48 now, tend only to wear trainers to run in these days.

I bought Puma ribbon trainers which came with plainer laces and was going to switch ... I just can't do it, I love the ribbons too much . Probably about 20 years too old for them (mid-30s) but I can't bring myself to care!

Yes when I was in my late teens early 20's...my then bf would put fat laces in my Adidas shells (aka superstars). Still have said fat laces in the same pair 20 years later 😂

Off the back of this I've just ordered some leopard and zebra laces for my black Stan Smiths

Aw, you’ve reminded me of the tie-dye laces I put in my DMs in 1991...

I change the laces in my Docs all the time. Even make my own. I love it!

I have to wear plain black trainers for work (Care) so my own personal rebellion are rainbow glitter laces.
