I have been a lurker for ages and have joined just to ask this question. I love what I think of as the powdery end of some perfumes. For example I love the way the new Givenchy L’Interdit smells after an hour or so on my skin and clothes - unfortunately I really dislike it as it goes on in the first place - my husband describes it as like Airwick. I would be grateful if you could tell me what you think this note is - vanilla ? Amber ? and any perfume suggestions.
If it helps, I am approaching 50 and loathe overly sweet scents. I get on well with Estée Lauder scents ( Modern Muse, Sensous Noir etc) but with menopause find that much of what I have liked before now smells ‘off’ on my skin. Thanks
