Cheap but heavy duty foot treatments?!

I’ve been walking a lot lately in ballet flats, stupidly, and my feet are now awful. Specifically, my heels are like hooves!

Is there anything that doesn’t cost a fortune, that will work to soften them up a bit? I don’t think mere cream is going to work, they need a scrub of some sort.

This is my speciality!! This has been my feet many a year!
First buy Newton's chiropody sponge it comes in a green box and is less than £3 off amazon.
A bar of soap (dove or simple are fine).
You also need a foot file.
Finally the body shop hemp foot cream (around £12).

First spend an evening soaking your feet then scrubbing your heels using the chiropody sponge and soap. You scrape the soap along the sponge then scrub at the hard skin (don't be fooled by the word sponge it's hard and a strange material!)
Keep going that evening soaking then scrubbing then go to bed with lots of the hemp cream on.

Following this every evening last thing (as part of your usual bedtime routine) give your heels a file and coat your heels in the cream and voila amazing soft feet await you soon!

Thanks @longhaulstress, I'm going to give that routine a go, it sounds quite satisfying!

Definitely getting that foot peel too, think I need to throw the kitchen sink at the issue!
