What’s the best mascara and eyeliner that absolutely won’t budge? I need something waterproof which will survive my menopausal hot flushes, the heat and probably quite a lot of crying (funeral of a very close relative). Probably brownish eyeliner and brown-black mascara, anything around the Estée Lauder-ish price range. Thanks.

Thank you so much everyone. I bought a grey/brown (sludge) Clinique one in the end, which I've been wearing for the past few days, and I also slept in it one night, and it didn't budge. I've got an old tube of the gold Boots mascara which I'd forgotten about so I'll use that as well.

Eyeko sports waterproof mascara is the bees knees. You can buy a mini of it if you don't want to pay the full price. M&S stock it in store and online. I bought it for a holiday last year after asking on here which mascaras were the best. Someone who did loads of swimming (submerging front crawl, not a gently breastroke!) recommended it and I have bought it ever since.
