How to wear long, fine hair in the heat?

My hair is longish and fine and I'm struggling with what to do with it when I'm hot. Its annoying and uncomfortable to wear down as I would do in the winter. It needs to be quick and easy and look ok for a 40 year old. I tend to pull back in a pony tail bun but it droops a bit and can look a bit harsh with all the hair pulled back from my face. I have no fringe. I don't mind it on the side in plaits but not sure if it looks silly? Help please!!

I just put mine in a messy bun on top of my head ...

Turn head upside down .... scoop it all together, tie it up ...

Fwiw I always thought it looked a mess, but everyone says how much it suits me?! Go figure right? 🤷‍♂️

I have done this one a lot in the past since I saw it recommended on here - you might need a bit of dry shampoo in your hair but it really is just plonking a hairband on and tucking everything in:

Always gets compliments and works to give a bit of volume around the face.

Ooh crumpets, I like that one. Will give it a go later. I just bought a new hair and that might work. Thanks. I went for 2 plaits on each side yesterday and actually had a few people say they liked it so couldn't have looked too little girly!!

I’m 43 and I side plait mine in hot weather, it’s just too uncomfortable to have it all down my back like a fur coat.
