Shellac alternatives? I can't give up salon nail treatments....

And I probably should. I mean, I have a new baby and it would be wise to save some money. But I love having a good manicure (especially when sleep deprived, it makes me feel put together), I am so rubbish at doing my own nails, and even when I manage to do a fairly good job, the polish chips after a couple of days. That's why Shellac is so convenient. Has any of you found decent alternatives? Do home lamps work and are they easy to use even for a DIY nail spaz like me?

I do mine with a lamp & use Bluesky from ebay. Costs about £6 for a bottle.

You'll need to also get top coat, base coat, alcohol wipe & sanitiser.

It's so much easier doing your own, and you'll get better the more you do it

Have you got any mobile beauticians near you? They tend to be cheaper in my experience, I pay £15. Easier with babies as well!
