What kind of tops do you wear with shorts on holiday?

Really need a couple of tops to wear in the summer. Last year I had just basic cotton jersey vests but found them quite thick and clingy when abroad.

I'd really like some loose cotton tops, as opposed to t-shirts, ideally with short sleeves.

Anybody seen anything nice that's not too £££?

The Warehouse one is gorgeous but the neckline is too high for me.
I looked in Sainsbury's but a lot of the vests were really thick cotton jersey, and a lot of them had really high necklines too.

Which M&S ones did you get, Baby? The last ones I tried in there were cut really deep on the armpits, and showed lots of my bra!

Sometimes Zara have some nice cotton floaty tops, I got a few last summer, also next have some nice linen mix T-shirts & monsoon are good for cotton tops, they have a sale at the moment so could be worth a look.

I wear long sleeved linen or broderie anglais blouses.

H&M often have a variety of 100% linen t-shirts - kind of knitted linen rather than woven, so they're more drapey and less crumpley. Frustratingly, they don't group them in one place, so you have to painstakingly search through the whole store to find them merchandised in with other products.

They're quite cheap and come in quite a few styles. I pretty much wear one of them every day through the summer while I'm not working.

I like swing CAMI tops like this Strapless bra needed though.

Wrap linen vest tops . I like the high back and the scoop neck front. Plus they're in the sale right now.

Primark have a range of slouchy t shirts and linen mix stuff in at the minute. Might not be what you're after, but a couple of the things I bought are quite thin and perfect for the weird humid weather we're having.
