Best chub rub protection?

I see Evans have some 'comfort shorts' but these are available in size 1, 2 or 3 (wtf Hmm). I'm a size 14 so wondering if anyone has ordered these and can advise on sizing?

Failing that, are there any other recommended solutions? I need to wear a dress on Saturday night and my chafing situation isn't drastic but does get irritating when I get hot or do a lot of walking.

Thanks in advance.

I can recommend these culotte slips from M&S if your dress is long enough.

Jockey are the best but snag are good too.

Another vote for Jockey Skimmies. They're fab. I prefer the shorter length ones (people say they ride up but mine never did) as the longer ones are a little too long for most of my work dresses....they're fine if you don't move but if you bend over and cross your legs, you can see them.

I wore mine to a work conference in Texas in July and they were amazing. Really comfy and breathable too. Definitely recommended.

Another vote for Snag chub rub shorts, I've found myself wearing skirts a lot more since I got them, and they come in fab colours!

Is using a good but affordable face primer to stop the rub too oldschool these days? I find the silicone type ones work a treat.

Deathraystare · 20/06/2019 08:47

I used Lanacan.

By the way - I think Evans starts at size 14 so that would be their small I guess.

Last year I read on a similar thread - try roll on deodorant

So I did (I’m a size18.5 and do not to drip feed used M&S rose roll on deodorant)

It works - easy as anything and it worked ! And I walked for 4-6 hours in very hot and also humid weather and it was brilliant - absolutely chaff free -Smile

Lush do this great powder, its called silky underwear and is the best thing I've ever found for it. It smells amazing and lasts for ages (I've had the same bottle for 4years and am not even half finished!)

Just wanted to pop back and update this thread...thanks for all the suggestions.

In the end I ordered some M&S anti-chafe shorts and they are really good. Very soft, don't ride up or roll down. I'm an apple shape and they sit at just the right point on my hips so they don't accentuate my spare tyre. Udderly smooth chamois cream

I had a thread of my own about this and got the same ones from m+s they are amazing. Super thin and lightweight. Waistband doesn't dig in, legs stay put and no chafing. I wore them recently in Rome when it was 35 degrees and they were very comfortable.
