Perfume parlour

Hi. Am about to make my first order from perfume parlour. I am ordering the dupe of Gucci Bloom, a colleague at work was wearing this today and it's lovely.
Can anyone recommend any other good perfumes to try from them?
I like quite strong scents- have worn all sorts in the past- Estée Lauder, Chanel etc. Am happy to try a new scent as they're so cheap. Thanks

I came on to suggest the Gloria Cacharel dupe too. One of my faves.

I didn’t like their Dior Addict dupe. It’s not awful, quite a decent dupe, I just felt there was something missing or off about it.

SushiTime · 19/06/2019 20:18

I've just bought the majority of the JM dupes. I'll report back Grin

BlythesEyes
I love Virgin Island Water too. Do Perfume Parlour do a dupe of it?

NabooThatsWho · 19/06/2019 20:27

Yes the Virgin Island Water is amazing!

I also adore the Dove. I get so many compliments about it. It’s so fresh and lovely. The Nivea is great too. I sometimes wear both at the same time for maximum effect Blush

kelper · 19/06/2019 20:33

Oo, I might have a look, I adore the original Envy by Gucci, cannot stand Envy Me.

thecanterburywhales Ooh I really hope I’m right about the Dune one now Grin I bet you’ll think it’s nothing like it. I remember in my first office job in 2000 one of the secretaries used to wear this beautiful perfume that made her office smell so nice. One day I asked what it was and she said it was Dune and she thought it was ok but was only wearing it as it had been a present. I went to Boots and sprayed a sample on my wrist, hated it at first scent and then it developed into that same beautiful smell after half an hour. I left the company a year later and bought a bottle (didn’t want to copy her while I worked there) only to find that while I still liked it it just didn’t smell the same. I didn’t find out until years later that the formula had changed in that year. Anyway, I’ve worn the newer version ever since and grown to love it, but the PP one took me straight back to the one I fell in love with and I’ve worn it ever since I got it.

owlish that is interesting indeed. I can’t smell the difference but I’m not keen on flowerbomb anyway as all I smell is sweetness so maybe I can’t smell the complexities in the original.

TheCanterburyWhales · 19/06/2019 22:42

I dug out my real Dune today after this thread. Smile Am definitely due a PP order to add to the 50 or so I have.

I have the Virgin Island Water- it's great. As are all the Jo Malones. I am a fairly outspoken critic Blush on perfume threads about a company which flogs cologne for ££££££££s when cologne is virtually all water, but for a fiver from PP they are infinitely more reasonable. My favourite is woody sages which is the Wood Sea Salt thingy dupe.

jcoc147 · 19/06/2019 23:00

How have I never heard of this!!! I have just ordered a copy of miss Dior absolutely blooming fingers crossed it smells the same as the real thing.

steakandcakes · 19/06/2019 23:12

Best ones for flowerbomb
Bon bon
Mon Paris by ysl
Ysl opium?
Thank you

SushiTime · 20/06/2019 10:39

Hahaha @jcoc147 I know! Can't believe I never knew about it. Have a feeling I will more than make up for it, can't wait for my order to land.

Does anyone know how long shipping usually takes?

Beketaten · 20/06/2019 10:44

The Hermes PP ones are very good, I have Un Jardin sur Le Nil.

Puppylucky · 20/06/2019 10:57

I am completely addicted to PP after reading about it here. I tend not to buy scents I already know but use it to try stuff I could never afford or is discontinued.
Stand outs for me include :
Gloria as already mentioned
Most of the Tom Fords including
Noire de Noire
Black Violet
Ombre de Hyacinth
Vert De Fleur
Alexander Mcqueen Kingdom
Gris Montaign (sp) Dior
Midnight Poison
Cartier Baisier du Dragon
To name but a few!

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/06/2019 10:57

Steakandcakes- the Opium is fabulous. Much more like the 1980s Opium than the reformulated version.
(That's original Opium, not Black Opium which I don't know)

Shipping can take a whole-wheat I guess they don't always have stock made up as they offer so much.

I started out with the oils but am not keen, I find the rollerball a bit scratchy.

I always get the smallest spray now and much prefer it. Longevity is still great!

SushiTime · 20/06/2019 11:05

Is that a whole week?

Yeh I wasn't sure about the spray or roll on. With it being oil I guess you wouldn't want it getting on your clothes. I orders a mixture to try. If they're as good as what I've read I'm super excited because I love perfume but it's the only thing I never want to pay for myself.

LoafofSellotape · 20/06/2019 11:23

Delivery isn't long ime,3 days ish.

ForeignBodies · 20/06/2019 11:52

I’ve long been a big PP fan. Brilliant value for money.

The PP Virgin Island Water is very good. So is the Creed Spring Flowers dupe.

I ordered a new oil and spray for the Nivea dupe last week, and am eyeing up Amouage Honour next....

twilightcafe · 20/06/2019 11:57

The only Jo Malone dupes that didn't smell quite right on me were Blackberry and Bay; Blue Agava and Cacao; and Red Roses.
Loved the PP Tom Ford copies, and they last longer on the skin than the originals.
Chanel No 5 smells the same to me, as well.

Licencedtodrill · 20/06/2019 12:55

Could you please tell me what the name is on the PP website for Chanel no 5 dupe? (I know they change the Chanel names quite often.)
Has anyone tried any of the other Chanel dupes that you'd recommend please?

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/06/2019 13:01

Whole-wheat!!!!! Wtf? I don't think I've ever typed that in my life, let alone have my phone remember it!

It's supposed to say "can take a while" Grin

One of the posters on the Perfumista threads scoured PP for Channels. They're quite well hidden to avoid litigation I think. The only one I have (from before they changed the names ) is the dupe of Sycomore. You could try messaging PP via their FB page.

Licencedtodrill · 20/06/2019 13:08

Ok- thanks

Their version of the original Fendi is very close. I only wish they did a version of Gio by Giorgio Armani, I loved that perfume!

twilightcafe · 20/06/2019 14:12

LicencedtoThrill I'll check the name for your when I get home from work.

twilightcafe · 20/06/2019 14:12

Just checked my PP stash, and the Chanel No 5 dupe is called Shanelle 55.
