DD doesn't do dresses or skirts. I'm not sure how casual to go.

TIA. 😆

it doesnt seem an important occasion, so wear casual?

Bouledeneige · 11/06/2019 10:20

Are you serious? Normal everyday clothes.

Rockbird · 11/06/2019 10:28

We had ours yesterday. I wore jeans and DD1 wore her school uniform. Unless it's Cheltenham Ladies' College I wouldn't think any further than clean and presentable. Although as we walked there in the rain yesterday I'm not sure we were even presentable. Grin

maslinpan · 11/06/2019 10:29

Clothes.

Sooverthemill · 11/06/2019 10:31

Just normal stuff, not too scruffy for the pupil. It's a chance for you and your child to get to feel comfortable at the school. If school uniform was required your current school would tell you

sugarbum · 11/06/2019 10:35

clothes. no one is looking or caring

Rockbird · 11/06/2019 18:15

Yes DD1 only wore school uniform because she went straight from school. Otherwise she probably would have been in leggings and a hoodie.

pikapikachu · 11/06/2019 18:16

You can go totally casual.

coconuttelegraph · 11/06/2019 18:19

I've got one of those comign up it never occured to me that there would be a dress code, I don't know what time it is but I'll probably have to go straight from work so won't be changing.

I think @sugarbum has it nailed

FourEyesGood · 11/06/2019 18:33

As a teacher, I would absolutely judge a parent who wasn’t wearing clothes to such a meeting.

Starlight456 · 11/06/2019 18:48

@FourEyesGood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

How has your child got to year 6 and you haven’t realised it doesn’t matter. My Ds has been to parents evening in a onesie as it was after swimming

stucknoue · 11/06/2019 18:50

Whatever, school uniform is safe if you are worrying, parents will either be wearing casual or work clothes

Hollowvictory · 11/06/2019 18:50

What do you mean? You wear whatever you're wearing that day? Unless it's hogwarts in which case your robes

sugarcubed · 11/06/2019 18:56

Clothes! Nobody will care!

doozer42 · 11/06/2019 19:05

I'm a secondary teacher and head of year 7. We really don't care a bit what the children wear. Can't honestly say it's ever occurred to me to even notice what they are wearing. Everyone's different. Just wear what's comfortable for you both.
