Does anyone use a ceramic/ionic coated hairbrush? Does it make a difference? Currently just using a cheap Poundland one at the moment! Blush

I just didn’t brush mine as it made it frizzier! It’s too short for that now, but I don’t own a hairbrush.

gubbsywubbsy · 07/06/2019 12:36

Don't ever brush curly/ wavy hair !!

Gave up on hairbrushes a long time ago. Conditioner and wide-tooth comb all the way for me.

GreigLaidlawsbarofsoap · 07/06/2019 12:55

Yup step away from the brush. Comb only! And lots of leave in conditioner or a really good hair oil.

Teddybear45 · 07/06/2019 12:59

Don’t brush frizzy hair. Use a leave in conditioner and a wide toothed comb

DaisyChainsForever · 07/06/2019 20:19

Ooh interesting! Thank you all, I will invest in a wide tooth comb and see how I get on.

Just comb through with your fingers & then don't touch it until it's dry.

Echoing Wide tooth comb! Get one with a handle like this style

m.feelunique.com/p/Paul-Mitchell-Pro-Tools-Detangler-Comb?curr=GBP&gclid=CLrErMWM2OICFQEA0wodeH4C5A&gclsrc=aw.

You can use your fingers too and when you do comb, start right at the bottom of your hair and go upwards in sections. If you start at the top and pull down you get a build up of tangoes that can cause damage when you rake through them.

Back away from the brushes🖐🏻

EnidButton · 07/06/2019 20:30

Tangles not tangoes Grin

PS I also only comb it when it’s wet/damp, never when dry. Good luck OP!

DaisyChainsForever · 14/06/2019 17:42

i have switched to a comb and am trying to leave it alone a bit more, but it looks like a birds nest if i don't touch it throughout the day! 🙈

More conditioner maybe???

I damp my hair and put conditioner on every morning - it dries and then I scrunch the curls. Can put conditioner on during the day, just a bit on the hands and smooth it through?

Look up Curly Girl Method and say goodbye to frizz!
