Why does my new foundation come with a spoon?

I know it's a mousse but, why? What is this new obsession with maquillage-based cutlery?

It's good, though. No. 7 Intelligent Something-Or-Other. In Buff. Goes on like a dream and good coverage for my hideous skin.

It's got to go on the next thread about beauty must-haves, I reckon. Too big a spoonful and you end up looking like a geisha, though...

its not a spoon, its a trowel.

only kidding,

I have no idea but from extensive sampling at duty free sections I can confirm that shockingly pricey creme de la mer caviar face goop has a spoon so maybe its a sign of quality?

Snaf · 21/07/2007 18:48

Think you are right about the trowel, meow But these days, I need it

a friend of mine had her foundation airbrushed on for a big work do we were at but they were a bit over enthusiastic and she looked pebble dashed. It was quite a talking point.

DoubleBluff · 21/07/2007 19:13

So you don't put your mucky fingers in it!
I use that one it is fab!

WideWebWitch · 21/07/2007 19:14

a spoon? What, so you can trowel it on or something?

MintChocChippyMinton · 21/07/2007 19:16

spoon? Are you sure you havn't picked up a coffee supermoose by mistake?

DoubleBluff · 21/07/2007 19:19

It's only a tiny spoon.
You spoon out the amount you nedd from the jar then put that on your foundation sponge... you do have one of those do you?
And then smear it all over your face.

JackieNo · 21/07/2007 19:22

Doublebluff's right - it's so you don't contaminate it with your nasty finger germs.

Snaf · 21/07/2007 19:34

But surely a foundation sponge is much more likely to harbour germs than my just-washed fingers?

Madness, I tell thee...
