Not too gypsy like though 😬. Not sure where to start as so much on-line but looking for bit of tassel, crochet type look - tops and dresses would be great thank you!

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger I don’t like being stereotyped so prefer not to stereotype others. I daresay people working in ‘accounts’ are as likely as any others to have rich inner lives or secret histories as communist gun runners.

My point was not that the OP shouldn’t wear what she personally likes, but that she would be unwise to base her shopping on the wardrobes of (let’s say) celebrity festival goers in previous years - as that would inevitably look dated and artificial this year.

Sadik · 29/05/2019 19:13

Would something like Psylo suit - cool & 'festival' type look but a bit more grown up (also good ethical site rather than fast fashion).

Sadik · 29/05/2019 19:17

Tattopani is more straight down the line hippy-ish.
This was a great thread a while back with loads of good suggestions for interesting clothes.

anthisan · 29/05/2019 20:41

George omg I swear to god I don`t ever look at celebs or what they wear!

I was a proper old style free festival goer in the 90's, DM's, my tie and dye, couple of plaits and lived in the back of a landrover for 4 days every time we went, which was as often as possible. Maybe I yearn a bit for that old life?

I keep my clothes forever and rehash them as I go along.

Thanks so much for all the lovely links, will sit down and have a good look through now.

I’ve been thinking of this recently as becoming more and more hippy in my old age so thanks Grin

GeorgeTheBleeder · 29/05/2019 21:11

Well yes, once you explained in your subsequent posts I was ready and willing to be less judgemental OP!

anthisan · 29/05/2019 21:19

Phew!

The Psylo website is just gorgeous! I think I'm too old though...

I like the Tattopani site too but everything too big, I like all this ferreting about though, very interesting

I'm 49 anthisan - it's well cut and very forgiving (sizing does come up small though)

Sadik · 29/05/2019 21:58

Psylo that is

Amazon have some boho clothing, as does Jo Browns. Most market places usually have some too.

ineedaknittedhat · 29/05/2019 23:08

Mystical Mayhem stuff is nice.

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2019 18:17

Oh Marge can and should wear whatever the fuck she likes. More power to her elbow. What I meant was that my normal is somebody else's costume iyswim. It is amusing. My inlaws needed to go to a hippy fancy dress party recently and rang and asked to borrow "anything out of my wardrobe".

I like to see people wearing more natural fabrics and tie dye etc. More people should embrace it.

Myscarfisblue · 30/05/2019 23:34

I've just ordered a lovely patchwork bag from Tattopani thanks to this thread.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 31/05/2019 16:35

See what you mean Showofhands.

You are all speaking my sartorial language! Charity shops in Glasto’ are amazing. Actually people-watching in general is amazing there (trainers and a tiara, anyone?). I love a good kilo sale, charity shop, Ebay rummage. And my style does spin off from my attitude to life. Go for it,OP. What is this ‘too old’ thing? You sound like you have a terrific figure so fill your (DM) boots Grin
