Who uses the bodyshop?

Does anyone use their products?

I’ve been looking at their facial creams for night use, particular interested in the Vitamin E night serum, the Vitamin E night cream or the Aloe night cream. Does anyone recommend any of these?

I suffered with bad skin in my early twenties which has cleared up now, I still get the odd spot & have a few under the skin bumps/spots on my cheeks, blackheads on my chin, pores are quite large in places so I just want something gentle for my skin which isn’t going to react & cause me to breakout. I should also add that I don’t have overly oily skin, I might get a bit oily on my forehead throughout the day but not massively.

Hope someone can help! Thanks

Doesn’t sound like their products suit many people

I love the oils of life creams also the cleansing balm. Also the White musk (wearing it today!)

Deathraystare · 28/05/2019 16:37

And the Chamomile clean sing balm and eye make up remover lotion.

Daffodil2018 · 28/05/2019 16:45

I absolutely love their Oils of Life range. I use the facial oil and the moisturiser. They are lovely to use and smell amazing.

I occasionally buy White Musk, and usually buy an aftershave each for my sons at Christmas when they have an offer on.

I find them quite expensive now compared to how they used to be and my local store always seem pretty quiet so there'll be an assistant asking if I need anything as soon as I walk in which drives me crazy.

Miniloso · 28/05/2019 18:26

I agree with the assistants always lurking and asking if you need help. I don’t understand why stores do this, if I want assistance I’ll ask. I buy more when left alone to browse! It puts me off going in. Lush is the same!

I love the body shop, I use their camomile cleansing butter, drops of light eye cream, their hand creams and the mango body yoghurt (the standard body butters were too thick for my skin and didn’t absorb).

Also loved their vitamin e face mist which they stopped making but apparently is coming back if it hasn’t already.

Me? I’ve been using the body shop for years, I used to love the small sample sets in the little canvas zipper bag! Great way to test out the ranges, I don’t know why they ever stopped them.

Tried everything for the body butters but even though my skin is visibly dry it never absorbed. Love the yoghurt though!! Mango is my favourite scent.

SolitudeAtAltitude · 28/05/2019 19:05

Body shop bot, you are like a virtual version of the shop assistants mentioned above ...

nothingwittyhere · 28/05/2019 19:37

I like a lot of Body Shop stuff, although I find it a little expensive. They do lots of promotions but I'd rather they just had reduced prices. My reccs are the SPF50 lotion, Aloe day cream, face masks. BTW they are no longer owned by L'oreal.

MadisonAvenue · 28/05/2019 19:41

I used to love it years ago as a place to buy gifts, when you could pick a selection (including those little bath pearls) and an assistant would put it all in a suitably sized basket and then shrink wrap it.

Still thinking back, to when my children were young, they used to do a children's range and there was a liquorice bubble bath which smelt amazing.

Honeyroar · 28/05/2019 19:43

I love Bodyshop! I use the regular vitamin E face cream, I love it, it feels very light. I adore their body butters and they have some great new shampoo/conditioner ranges. I tried the Green tea one this week and my hair is feeling lovely. I was also impressed that they're taking back empty plastic containers (of their products) and exchanging them for vouchers (I think it's 12 empty containers for a £5 voucher).

😊No I don't work for them! I just seem to have fallen back in love with them now they're not Loreal!

Cecilia2016 · 28/05/2019 19:54

I love body shop too. I used to use vitamin E products and was good until I changed to Bobbi brown products. I love Shea butter, hemp hand cream and ginger shampoo and conditioner

clucky3 · 28/05/2019 20:39

OP I have similar skin to use and love the body shop's vitamin E range. It's perfect for my skin

Nat6999 · 28/05/2019 20:41

I haven't been in for nearly 20 years, used to love their stuff but fell out with their cosmetics.

Hammondisback · 28/05/2019 22:54

I love their shower gel, body butter and camomile cleanser. Dr. Organic does good moisturisers. Holland and Barrett stock this range. Also, La Roche Posay are second to none in terms of serums and moisturisers for sensitive skin. You can often get them for 25-30% off on various websites.

elonmusk · 29/05/2019 07:38

Another one for the vitamin e day cream here. I switched to a 'this works' moisturiser at the beginning of the year and have just gone back to the vit e - much prefer it. I also use the factor 50 skin defense everyday as I use retinol in the evening.

Snowba1128 · 08/09/2019 10:45

Hi bodyshop is no longer owned by L'Oreal and the products are now back to what the were before L'Oreal was involved.

Snowba1128 · 08/09/2019 10:49

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite Hi its five empties for the five pound voucher in stores although it might vary which stores offer this. Iam a bodyshop at home consultant so if you want to know anything i can easily check this for you.

Snowba1128 · 08/09/2019 10:53

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite also vitamin e face Mist is back it was in the high summer catalogue.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 08/09/2019 11:50

I order from a friend so get products when they're on sale and also don't have to pay postage.

I repeat buy cammomile balm, Aloe creams, hemp balm, rose toner and mask and the African scrub.

Snowba1128 · 09/09/2019 09:13

Honeyroar I believe its five empties for the five pound voucher in bodyshop stores. Iam and at home consultant for bodyshop and there really trying to reduce the use of plastic and just use recycled plastic for the products that come plastic containers. They also donate to the children on the edge charity.
