& Other Stories are KILLING IT with their fragrance dupe bodycare

The shop with the most awkward name in the world may be a tad too edgy for me in their main offering (weirdly fitting polyester clothes in shades of mustard) but their toiletry/bodycare section is divine.

They do a whole range of washes, creams, sprays and scrubs in a variety of scents.

They've stopped doing the one that smells of Clinique Happy, but on a recent trip I found that their Perle de Coco is a pretty identical match to Rio de Janeiro Bum Bum cream, and a fraction of the price.

They have a new one called Fornillo too which waxes lyrical about Mediterranean breezes but to me is an exact dupe for my favourite Bath and Body Works fragrance, cucumber watermelon.

The body scrub they do in all ranges is superb, and on grimy summer feet is like a trip to a destination spa.

Prices are around 13 quid for the scrub and eight quid for the shower gel. The shops have great big sinks in them so you can test and wash to your hearts content.

Obviously the scents lean to the sweet end which won't appeal to many MNers but if like me you've reached middle age and never let go of your Victoria Plum obsession, you may well go absolutely mad in here.

I think the shops are only in London?

I dunno about the other fragrances but they have one called Havana Blues which is amazing- tobacco leaves, lemon and jasmine, it smells like Tom Ford has rubbed himself against you. In a non pervy way. The sugar scrubs are hands down the best I've ever used- they have just the right amount of oil to make the fragrance stick to your skin and moisturise, but not so greasy you feel like you'll slip out of bed. And they actually scrub!

They have a store in Dublin and we keep meaning to do a run down to get some more.

I love their Sicilian sunrise scent but it lasts about five minutes. Such a shame as it’s perfect!

MorrisZapp · 16/05/2019 08:32

Yes the scrub is perfection isn't it. See, I had no idea about the Tom Ford. Are all their fragrances a bit dupey?

For longevity, you need the body cream aka 'soufflé'. I kept wafting myself with Brazilian beach gorgeousness yesterday.

Yep, I have the Havana Blues scrub and it's divine!

ZaraW · 16/05/2019 11:22

They have a shop in Manchester. Must check the scrubs out when I'm visiting. Thanks for recommendation.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 16/05/2019 11:42

They've discontinued their Moroccan Mint Tea scent which was divine. AngryDidn't last very well but it was gorgeous.

Ocies · 16/05/2019 12:23

I use the shower gel, body lotion and body spray to get a bit on longevity on the scent.

beanaseireann · 16/05/2019 13:03

They're in Dublin too.

McAvennie · 16/05/2019 19:05

And Leeds!

suckonthatmaureen · 16/05/2019 19:08

And Liverpool! Will have to pop in this weekend Smile

Sakura7 · 16/05/2019 19:22

It is just me or are they a bit ruthless with discontinuing scents? I used to love Bon Bon Tree but haven't seen it in a while, and I think a few others have changed as well.

EachandEveryone · 16/05/2019 19:26

Their foundation is very good as well.
