My balayage

Posted on here for advice a while ago for my balayage (I was shitting myself about having it done). Got lots of horror stories but went ahead with it! Thought I would share my results for those interested!

My aim was to take all the warmth out of my blonde hair. Attached is the picture I took in. So she darkened my roots and bleached the ends, brushing the colour on and merging/blurring the lines somewhere in between. I also had a toner put on. The bleach lifted really well but she (and I) were disappointed with the root as it is still a warm colour. She knows what to do next time and had warned me it might take two appointments. So the colour isn't exactly what I want but I was warned and I've dyed my hair enough to know it can be unpredictable. So I will be going back again.

Her technique, I feel, was very good. I have inspected my hair and I cannot see any stripes or dots, it seems to merge naturally although will look nicer when the colour is darker.

Attached is the photo I took in and my hair before

Thank you, I'm really happy with it. I think it's an important lesson for people - not all hair colourists lie! She warned me it might take more than one visit and she was right Smile And it hasn't cost me £500 and I don't look like Cindy Beale Grin

That looks gorgeous!

LaurieFairyCake · 21/06/2019 12:16

I also think it looks fantastic!

I have hair envy too 😍

Looks really lovely now Op - definitely not Cindy Beale! A good balyage is done in stages, it's almost impossible to achieve a good look in just one session. Looks super!

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 21/06/2019 12:26

I hate you OP. Seriously hate you. That is EXACTLY how I want my hair but it never bloody well goes like that Envy

Haha thanks for the love! And well done to my hairdresser!

Looks gorgeous! Do you mind me asking how you got those curls? They're amazing!

weAllSingAlongLikeBefore · 21/06/2019 13:24

They are just bog standard curls done with a straightener!

Gorgeous! 😍

Ohhh very nice. Thanks for trusting your stylist. As a hairdresser of 15 years it can take one comment from someone knows every little about hair to unravel all the trust the stylist has built up with their client. Enjoy your new hair OP. X

It looks great OP. I'm going through the same process
