Bring me the softest, butteriest leather biker jacket available to humanity

It's me again.

My bf managed to buy herself the world's softest, butteriest leather jacket for FIVE POUNDS IN FUCKING BARNARDOS.

I'm trying to be happy for her but it's hard. Her one came from Zara, do Zara still do these jackets? And if not, who does?

And how much would I expect to spend brand new?

Pic is me modelling the five pound bargain. I only took it off when her lips started to go all thin.

Have a look on eBay

AintThatSomething · 11/05/2019 06:52

I've got one from Lakeland leather I always get compliments about. I bought it in a shop though, rather than online. Some are more buttery feeling than others.

Have you considered dumping her as a friend? She sounds horrible. Grin

I have a couple. One is from All Saints, I found it in a charity shop for £15. Don't hate me. It's so soft it might as well be made out of jersey. They are not cheap new, about £300 upwards but they do occasionally go on sale and I think there's an outlet at Bicester.

Also one from Barneys at Asos which is incredibly soft and buttery and lovely, but when I lost weight and ordered the same jacket in a smaller size it wasn't nearly as soft and buttery and lovely and I sent it back.

There are loads on Asos from many different brands, you could order lots of them to try out and send back if you don't like them.

I have an unbelievably soft leather jacket from Baukjen

Atalune · 11/05/2019 07:26

All saints. Got
Mine off eBay brand new for £160

MorrisZapp · 11/05/2019 08:42

I'm minimising contact. Clearly, she's a narc.

If she'd shagged my DP I'd be open to forgiveness, but to find my dream jacket for a fiver displays breathtaking arrogance.

I'm on the hunt! I was all over ebay from the moment I saw it, just wondered what the softest brands are. Fuck the college fund. If I can't go one up then it's game over.

Also, who gives the best jacket in the world to the chazzer? Who god damn it?

One has to suspect an angry boyfriend. Some poor girl is probably crying in her mud room as we speak.

I have a buttery soft leather jacket that was from Whistles, via Oxfam. It cost me £14.99 (plus having the sleeves shortened, still whole thing was under £40).

Go to posh areas and go in their charity shops.

Bromeliad · 11/05/2019 08:50

I've got a lovely soft one that's John Lewis own brand. I think it was about £90 (although that was possibly in the sale). It's a few years old now but they may still do them.

keiratwiceknightly · 11/05/2019 08:52

Got a beautiful Calvin Klein one in TKmaxx a couple of years ago. Fabulously soft.

I don’t actually care if my All Saints one is haunted.

Alsohuman · 11/05/2019 12:41

I got mine from Jaeger - in the sale, I hasten to add - it’s so soft it drapes.

Jsmith99 · 11/05/2019 12:44

Hugo Boss do some lovely men’s biker style jackets in super-soft nappa (i.e. lamb) leather. They are expensive, though.

OrdinarySnowflake · 11/05/2019 13:36

Oh and I used to help out in the same Oxfam, the bag the jacket came from was full of other clothes that were far more worn /cheaper brands, but a size up. I reckon my original owner bought a size down the sale/online and left it too late to return/squeezed herself in it a few times before accepting she needed to donate.

Go to nice areas and check out the charity shops, particularly after the Marie Kondo programme has been on...

Wellhellothere101 · 11/05/2019 14:49

My All Saints Bales leather jacket is so soft and buttery. I bought it in the January sales so paid around £210 but I gather this is a bargain as it's usually £310.

Wellhellothere101 · 11/05/2019 14:50

No I'm talking rubbish, I paid £130 from memory. Wear it all the time.

gubbsywubbsy · 11/05/2019 15:16

All saints or muumbaa.

Jacksback · 11/05/2019 16:22

Mango have similar
Can’t comment on their buttery ness ( is that a word haha ) but worth a look
I think mango do quality clothes imo
Approx 150 sadly not £1.50 but £150

AndromedaPerseus · 11/05/2019 18:16

Just nick it from her then go NC

Schoolques · 11/05/2019 18:18

Fabulous

But at the same time - I could not have handed over just a fiver for this jacket to Barbados. Whoever priced it clearly has no idea of it’s value.

I am far far from an angel!! But I would have handed over £50 for this, and still walked away knowing I had got myself an utterly beautiful bargain

MorrisZapp · 13/05/2019 09:24

I must admit that crossed my mind too. I've made extra donations in the past when finding a ridiculous bargain in charity shops. It's unlikely to happen round here, our chazzers are the posh type who think three quid for a bobbled Atmosphere top is reasonable, but BF lives in economically depressed area where insane bargains can be had.

Try eBay, I got a Gestuz leather jacket for £30, still retails for £395, and it was brand new!
