It's probably too late for me. I've got the worst stretchmarks ever!

i bought some today just for general use - my stretchmarks are beyond repair. it smells lovely

LilRedWG · 17/07/2007 21:01

I totally believe that it's genetic. If your Mum/sisters got stretch marks, chance are you will too.

best thing for stretch marks/scarring is bio oil mixed with vit e oil. Not the vit e oil intended for the body as that isn't 'pure' enough. Very boring option (but it works wonders) is to buy vit e oil capsules (intended for swallowing) and pierce them with a pin and mix the 2 oils together. Recommended for my mil by homeopath for scarring after surgery and it worked better unbelievably well.

i used bio oil on my arms as i put loads of weight on when pg with dd1,and had hideous stretch marks at the tops of my arms.it did make them fade, and less noticeable, and i didnt start using it till dd1 was 5.

i have also found it works better than most face creams i have tried(for wrinkles and tired-looking skin!).

Fabulous stuff, I've used it on my face aswell.

I've used Neal's Yard Mother's massage oils in all of my pregnancies, and no stretch marks at all - and I had big babies too! Have heard things about Bio oil though - but also believe that genes play a role.
