Least damaging - hairdryer or straighteners?

I have to either blow dry my hair (from damp/nearly dry, not soaking wet) or straighten when it’s dried naturally, or I look like Hagrid after a rainstorm on a bad hair day.

Is either one less damaging than the other? I’m assuming hairdryer because it’s not direct contact but I want to make sure I’m doing the best I can for my hair.

Hairdryer is certainly the least damaging I would say. Especially if you can just use it on a lukewarm/cool setting if possible. It takes a few minutes longer but is worth it for the sake of your hair I think.
Straighteners absolutely wreck your hair in the long term unless you have incredibly thick strong hair. Even when using heat defense sprays.
I always suggest treating your hair like silk if you want to keep it in the best condition you can. Smile

Thank you, that’s really helpful, I always whack it up to high so I’ll make sure it’s on cool from now on!
