Best tights for very pale skin

We're going to a family wedding in June and I wouldn't feel comfortable not wearing tights as I usually I either have on thick black opaque tights or jeans (never bare legs).

I've had a look online and John Lewis appear to do a 20 denier pair of neutral tights but the colours don't sound as though they'd suit pale skin and would look very obvious.

Can you wise Mumsnetters recommend a toddler friendly pair of skin-tone tights that would work on pale skin (think almost milk-bottle white!)?

Heist do mega pale tights but they're pretty expensive.
I have the same problem and struggle to find anything pale enough.

Thanks @Youkilledoinker - I'll have a look.

It's so irritating isn't it as I always feel I look like I'm very obviously wearing tights, whereas friends who wear nude tights just seem to look very natural and bare legged!

Hi @Someaddedsugar - I have a similar issue as you, I'm a ginger and my skin is blindingly white. I've never found a pair of nude tights higher than 10 denier that looked good - anything more than that and they look obvious and frumpy; a bit granny-ish.

If you can brave bare legs for one day, I'd do that (a bit of Rimmel sunshimmer works wonders!) or create some of toddler intrusion detection device around your legs and get the Boots 10 denier bare-leg tights 😄

@RedPandaFluff - I was commenting to DP today that I'm sure my legs reflect the sun haha! I have very dark brown hair and extremely pale skin which makes me look like a member of the Addams family!

I'll have a look at Rimmel sunshimmer too - I've never heard of that before!

@RedPandaFluff which shade of sunshimmer do you use? Is it the gradual tan in light matte, or the instant tan?

Watching with interest

The instant stuff, @Someaddedsugar - the lightest shade. It goes on really quickly and easily with a mitt, and looks pretty natural. There's one with a sheen and a matte one - I find the sheen one to be a wee bit nicer, makes your legs look more toned.

I've same issue, M&S autograph tights do a much lighter porcelain to the usual illusion shade but as wanted more than sheer 10denier due to ugly veins i didn't try them.

Thanks @RedPandaFluff - I'm going to order some and give it a try.

I also really like the look of the ones on Heist so going to order the palest shade (they come in 18 denier) to see what they look like on.

@Scattyhattie I'll have to have a look online as they might work as a back up :).
