Eyelash tint on top of mascara

Just tried a new beautician. She applied eyelash tint over my mascara. I told her I was wearing some and she said it didn't matter?

Lashes do looks darker but it seems odd. What do you think?

That seems strange to me. I get mine done a lot and even though I go in with no make up on, she always cleans lashes first.

What? I trained as a beauty therapist although a few years ago now and we were taught to remove all eye make-up first. How can the chemicals penetrate the hair to 'stain' it if it is coated in mascara? Odd! I would be asking for them to re-do it for free if it hasn't worked OP.

I won't be going back. Aside from the basic principle of cleaning an area before dyeing it, she kept leaving the room to go and gossip in reception.

My eyebrows look alright (wax and tint) so I don't feel like I've been completely robbed.

What an odd thing to skip though. She mentioned having to switch rooms last minute. I bet she had no remover in the room we were in
