As above really. nc for this
I am just about to start a new job after a year's maternity leave. I'm desperate to change my look. Pregnancy and breastfeeding has made me look matronly and tired and I have no idea how to dress anymore. I had a penchant for summer dresses, cardigans and leggings, but I've come to realise I do not look feminine and gamine, I look like a curtain.
I will be working in a school, so I need to look professional but approachable and I need to be comfortable as lots of bending down to children etc.
So the tricky part--I am 5'5, late twenties, brunette shoulder length hair, size 12-14 and sturdy with it. Rectangular shape, no hips or waist, big wide shoulders, large but saggy boobs. Wide round face with quite a strong jawline and cheekbones which can either look brilliant at some angles or like something off Mount Rushmore at others. Short thick torso and long legs. Eyes, legs and skin are my best features.
I suspect that I suit more tailored stuff, but I hate anything too fussy or structured, and I'm not sure where the balance lies. I see pictures of women looking casual in one shirt/blouse type tops tucked into those trousers that are sort of cylindrical but stop at the ankle - not skinnies but not flares - and that's how I would like to look, all effortless but stylish and comfortable. But I've tried to replicate it and I look like a bloke.
Help? I'm totally clueless. I need to lose two stone as well really, I'm working on that
