Would anyone like to help find a lovely dress for a short apple?

5’2” size 14 apple with a sizeable mum tum.

I need a dress for an event in May, preferably with short sleeves and not too tight around the waist. And not polyester.

Any ideas gratefully received.

I am a 5ft 1in apple. I have big boobs, hardly any waist and a belly but slim arms and legs. Like humpty dumpty but with fabulous hair. I have just bought this for a gala night on a cruise. I was dreading it but now I am excited because I have something gorgeous and flattering to wear.

It’s a Phase Eight dress and I generally find their shift styles flattering.

The photo makes it look like a print but it’s not, it’s a sheer net with embroidery. It is mostly polyester which I normally avoid but the net means it isn’t sweaty.

I also bought this. It isn’t quite as forgiving so I’ll need to wear an all in one body smoother but it still looks great.

I bought them both after having a John Lewis personal shop. If you can get to one I would definitely recommend it. I must have tried on over 30 dresses and it is so convenient to have the stylist bring them to you so you don’t have to keep getting dressed and undressed.

Not clingy at all. It’s quite structured so it’s bodyskimming. I would never have picked it out myself so I am very grateful that the stylist suggested it.

Good tip about the stylist, I hadn’t thought of that.
