natural hair dye without chemicals, light brown.....recommendations?

Hello! My scalp gets very irritated and itchy easily, and I'm sure dying my hair isn't helping. Is there such a thing as a natural hair dye, in a light brown or dark blonde colour, that hasn't got all the harsh chemicals in it? I know of things like Lush henna colours, but I think they would be too dark or auburn for me. Judging how my kids clothes seem to get permanent brown food stains on them, there must be something plant or mineral based? 😂😂
Thanks!

There are plenty of other henna companies (the Body Shop used to do it, maybe they still do, and I'm sure there was a blonde one - otherwise Boots, Superdrug etc).

According to a programme on Venice I was watching last night, the courtesans back in the day used urine and sunshine. Might be an alternative?! Grin

Do you actually need to dye your hair though? I stopped dyeing mine when I developed a reaction to the dye. So liberating! (But so grey Sad)
