I used to love dressing for summer but since having children (ages 3 and 6) nothing suits me anymore. I used to have a flat tummy but no longer. I like loose, comfortable clothing now. I'm 5 foot 6, 10.5 stone and a size 12/14. I have pale skin and blonde/brown bobbed hair. I wear lots of Boden bretons and cropped trousers for practicality but would welcome some ideas.

If you like loose and comfortable, try a summery maxi dress? i have several and always feel comfortable but a bit more "dressed" in them. A looser style with a waist is flattering (on me at least) and I think you're tall enough for a maxi to look great.

like this (out of stock but just to show you what I mean).

Black always looks good IMO but you can also get loads of colours and prints.

I'm watching with interest. From your description I think you might be me...!

I don’t like any summer clothes on me. Most of the year I wear bretons and skinny jeans but this doesn’t translate into the warmer months very well. Last summer I just sweated in the same skinny jeans and swapped the long sleeved breton for a t shirt but I can’t say I liked how I looked at all. I have horrid white spotty legs and fat knees and a flat square saggy bum. Phwoar.

Ideally I want to find some tunic type tops to wear with leggings or cropped leggings but I can’t seem to find anything I actually like. Plus I’m poor Sad

Casual summer I like linen trousers and cool T's (I like the plain v neck ones from Inwear as they have a slight sheen and look good quality)

You can dress it up with wedges and jacket or keep it low key with funky trainers

I also really like the hush zip side joggers as they are thin material and good for warmer weather
