Is there such thing as a bikini that looks decent for large waist/small boobs?

I'm basically pretty happy with my body, but post 40 seem to have got to a stage where all swimsuits make me look like a sack of spuds because I have small boobs (32A) and a large waist (c28-29inches) - I wear size 8-10 on top, 10-12 bottom. Have taken to just getting sports swimsuits because they keep it simple. Going on a summer holiday where I might need another swimsuit and thought it might be nice to have a bikini for the less swimming more lurking-by-pool days, but I can't imagine any that will suit me, as I don't really want bottoms that lurk in the shade of my belly and 'big pants' styles will presumably make my stomach look even bigger (pre kids, when I nonetheless had a belly, I found smaller pants and top were actually more flattering than more fabric). So thought I'd set MNers a challenge to suggest anything that could work! Or should I just stick to a one-piece? Grin

Sounds like an athletic type figure, so something sporty might suit?

A bikini top that's like a crop top, and a normal sized plain simple bottom half?

Sadly it's with a sticky-out stomach, not just a straight up-and-down waist!

My bum hips, thighs and legs are generally OK btw, about a standard size 10

ok.... don't laugh... try on lots but I have a similar figure and actually a smaller triangle top and similar small ish bottoms looks better than anything, or as above a sporty style with a crop top. I carry any extra weight on my tummy and if I try and conceal it, it actually looks worse.

What about this I've bought a couple of these it flatters a slightly bigger waist and accents boobs without spillage.

Thanks all

@hallodave - as I said, I went the teeny bikini route pre kids, maybe should try again, but not optimistic!

I'm a similar size (but are you sure about bra size? Have you tried the bra intervention on here?). I'm not sure you have a large waist btw Grin....anyway I got this last summer (phase 8) and it's a good shape, halter neck with a bit of padding works well...bottoms are ruched and give coverage without being so massive as to draw attention...

So maybe these bottoms with the corresponding two halter bikini tops from john Lewis might work....

I'm a similar shape and I find Next bikinis are really flattering. Look at the bandeau bikini tops which are sort of moulded so they give you a bit of shape even when you're flat chested. And lots of them come with a choice of bottoms, either traditional high leg bikini pants or a roll top brief which gives a bit more coverage.

Cheers, might give Next a try then!
