gawd, sounds like it needs a conditioning treatment at hairdresser (free, as they got it into this state) or, failing that, more cut off it.

go back to the hairdresser and get an intensive treatment - that may well help

Good luck

nailpolish · 15/07/2007 20:10

go back to the shop and ask for your money back. if you had highlights done yesterday and the ends has started to snap then something isnt right

mum2sam · 15/07/2007 20:16

the shops closed for a refit this week which is typical. It only seems to be in the front prob because thats where i straighten it most with my GHD's i swear those straigtners have ruined my hair.Im just checking the rest of my hair. Do you think there is anythig i can buy from the shop that will help?

bite the bullet and go to a different salon

EffiePerine · 15/07/2007 20:18

You can try bunging on some olive oil or almond oil, leaving on overnight and then shampoo out.

snowwonder · 15/07/2007 20:20

i would leave intensive conditioner on all night and wash off in morn

SilentTerror · 15/07/2007 20:48

Try Aussie 3 minute miracle range, also john frieda miraculous recovery range, the leave in creme 'secret agent'very good.

Have you been using a heat protector before you style?

First, go to the salon and ask for an intensive conditioning treatment. They should offer this for free after you explain how your hair felt after the highlights.

Then, make sure you use a heat protecting gel before you style.

Deep condition once a week. Leave it on a long time. Overnight if you can.

expatinscotland · 15/07/2007 20:56

An MNer recommended the V05 gel for straigteners and it's really helped my hair!

mum2sam · 15/07/2007 21:21

i use tressme heat spray but its not very good. Im going to shampoo and put a intensive treatment on it overnight and see if that works. Would i shampoo after the conditioner or would that defeat the point. Just dont want it to be too greasy

i use the paul mitchell super skinny serum on my damp hair, and then the paul mitchell heat seal spray,

to be honest it is more expensive then others about£10.00 each, but it last soosososoooo long as you dont use a lot, bought some at xmas and have just run out this week so need to go to salon and make a purchase,

i have my hair highlighted, and the condition i am told is good,

i use the elvive shampoo and conditioner, (pink one)

EffiePerine · 15/07/2007 22:00

I'd put on the conditioner (don't shampoo) and leave, then shampoo in the morning. If you clean it first you'll be drying it out even more.
